What is JERA Nex bp?
JERA Nex bp is an offshore wind developer, owner and operator. It was formed as a 50:50 joint venture between JERA and bp in July 2025, and its website says its portfolio of operating assets and development projects has a total net potential generating capacity of approximately 13GW, with around 1GW of installed net generating capacity. It says it unites JERA's expertise in delivering and safely operating offshore wind projects with bp's development portfolio and experience in offshore energy. In Belgium the business is Parkwind, which was created in 2012 and has operated as part of JERA Nex since April 2024, and its Belgian offshore wind farms are run from an operations hub in Ostend. Parkwind's own website now carries the title "JERA Nex bp - Parkwind". Companies House lists the UK legal entity as JERA NEX BP LIMITED, company number 16116079, incorporated on 3 December 2024.
Where will I work?
The company says it has its "global headquarters in London and a long-standing presence in Leuven", and a press release describes an operations hub in Ostend, Belgium. The 14 vacancies live on 6 November 2026 are split evenly: seven in London, six in Leuven and one in Ostend. The Parkwind contact address in Leuven is Sint-Maartenstraat 5. The careers board tags every one of them as hybrid, and the adverts promise "the opportunity to work from home, with regular in-person connection" without saying how many office days that means. Some roles travel: the O&M Readiness Engineer advert says "Travel in Belgium, UK and further abroad will be expected in support of your tasks", and the HSSE Advisor (O&M) in Ostend plans offshore and onshore site visits. The careers board lists offices in London, Leuven, Tokyo, Sunbury, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Dublin, Ostend, Mukran, Utrecht, Copenhagen, Berlin, Hamburg, Madrid, Melbourne, Houston and the north-east United States and Chicago.
What is the JERA Nex bp team like?
The vacancies are office and advisory roles in finance, treasury, risk and internal audit, HR and workforce analytics, procurement, project delivery, health and safety, and operations and maintenance. The adverts describe a young joint venture: "As we build our company, we are driven by" care for each other and the world, a spirit of ingenuity, and a commitment to unlocking value from offshore wind, and they promise "A collaborative and inclusive work culture, with space for team-building and social activities". The undated Parkwind careers page says "our 150 employees share an entrepreneurial spirit and a dedication to our company and purpose" and asks for people who "think beyond the limits of their job description". The who-we-are page lists a "Strong safety culture" first, and Parkwind's site describes the operations side with the line "Taking care of turbines is a 24/7 job".
Work-Life Balance
The hours wording is the same in every advert, in eight different functions and in both countries: "Flexible working hours and the opportunity to work from home, with regular in-person connection". It sits in the list of things you will enjoy, next to career growth, so it is offered as a benefit rather than a demand on the candidate. What the adverts do not say is just as important. There are no core hours, no weekly hours, no leave entitlement and no fixed number of office days, and neither the company site nor the careers board has a separate hours or benefits page. Roles that touch offshore operations also carry travel and occasional offshore work, which the adverts state plainly.
