About Incode
What is Incode?
Incode is an identity-verification and fraud-prevention company. Its own site says "Incode is an identity platform. Our AI-driven technology is built entirely in-house, designed to deliver frictionless trust." It was founded in San Francisco in 2015 and raised a $220 million Series B in December 2021 at a $1.25 billion valuation. Its Life at Incode page lists three acquisitions since 2024 (MetaMap, AuthenticID and Identiq). Its ads name customers such as Citi, AirBnB, Block, Chime, Sixt and TikTok, and the site's industry list is broad: financial services, fintech, crypto, commerce, social media, online gaming, online gambling, adult entertainment, public sector, telco, healthcare, education and travel.
Where will I work?
Incode lists nine offices: San Francisco (headquarters), New York, Mexico City, Bogotá, London, Madrid, Barcelona, Belgrade and Tel Aviv, and says it has 600+ Incoders of 25+ nationalities. Today's 13 live ads are in the United States (4), Serbia (4), the United Kingdom (3), Mexico (1) and Spain (1). The careers page lists "Hybrid work" among its work benefits. The London business development ad says "We're together on-site two days a week, Wednesday and Thursday", so office days are fixed there, while the Built In listing tags the Serbian, Spanish and US roles as Remote and the London sales roles as In-Office. Belgrade is Incode's engineering base in Serbia: in July 2022 Biometric Update reported that its "Serbian development center has grown threefold over the past year".
What is the Incode team like?
The ads describe the culture with one list: "High performance Freedom & responsibility Context, not control Highly aligned, loosely coupled Continuous Feedback Promotions & Development". They also call Incode a "Unicorn-status scale-up", so expect a fast-moving environment. The careers page names five values: Excellence, Empathy, Diversity, Growth and Innovation. Openings span sales in EMEA and North America, legal, finance operations, people, machine-learning analytics, backend engineering, DevOps and customer success. The DevOps ads state: "On-call, up front: the DevOps team does not carry 24/7 on-call. A separate SRE team owns incident response." Some roles are regional: the Senior Commercial Counsel role covers customer contracting across the U.S. and Canada, and the VP Total Rewards role covers rewards for "Incoders across the US, LATAM and EMEA".
Work-Life Balance
All 13 live ads, across sales, legal, finance operations, people, machine learning, engineering, DevOps and customer success, and in all five countries, carry the same line: "Benefits & Perks: Flexible Working Hours & Workplace Open Vacation Policy". The careers page lists "Unlimited PTO" and "Hybrid work" among its work benefits, but no minimum number of leave days is stated. No core hours are stated; the London ad fixes two office days (Wednesday and Thursday) but gives no start or finish times. Weekly hours are not stated either.
