About IDnow

What is IDnow?

IDnow's adverts describe it as "a leader in digital identity and fraud prevention in Europe" with a mission "to transform trust into the most powerful asset in the digital world, empowering enterprises with AI-driven, SaaS-based identity solutions". The About page says the story began in 2014 when "we launched VideoIdent, one of the first solutions to deliver secure, remote identity verification in compliance with German regulations", and that the company later acquired identity Trust Management and Ariadnext. It adds that IDnow is "backed by a strategic majority investment from Corsair Capital" and that in 2024 it earned "the certification of IDnow Trust Services AB as a Qualified Trust Service Provider in the EU". The careers page says "we are over 500 people strong and growing fast", and the legal footer lists "IDnow GmbH (HQ)" at Auenstraße 100 in Munich. The adverts name its clients' end markets as "financial services, telecommunications, travel & mobility, gaming, and other industries".

Where will I work?

The Greenhouse board has nine adverts, and the eight that carry the flexible hours wording are based in Germany or France. The Product Owner advert says "This position is based in Berlin/Munich, Germany or Rennes, France", the Sales Specialist advert says "This position is based in Rennes or in Paris, France", and the Solution Engineer adverts are based in Berlin or Munich and in Rennes. The ninth advert, a two-year maternity-cover HR role in Iasi, Romania, does not carry the wording and offers "Hybrid working, with one remote day per week". The careers page lists offices in Berlin, Munich, Rennes, London and Iasi, and the About page names "offices in Munich, Berlin, Düsseldorf, London and Rennes". The Germany and France adverts do not say how many days are spent in an office; they mention "regular onsite gatherings" and support to make "your remote work comfy".

What is the IDnow team like?

The careers page describes its people as "innovators, engineers, compliance experts, and fraud fighters" and lists five values: Trust, Excellence, Accountability, Curiosity and Team Spirit. The About page says Philippe Morel joined as CEO in July 2026, and names co-founder Armin Berghaus as Managing Director. The Product Owner advert describes "Working with a dedicated Scrum Team", the Sales Specialist advert says the role is "part of scaling our Solution Sales Specialist team", and the Solution Engineer adverts say engineers "carry a quota and are measured on two things: the deals they help win, and whether the client goes live successfully". The adverts also mention "regular onsite gatherings, internal initiatives and summer parties". The recruitment steps on the careers page are an online application, an initial conversation, a team and skills interview, a culture and values conversation, and an offer with onboarding.

Work-Life Balance

Eight of the nine live adverts, covering five Product roles, one Commercial role and two Solution Engineering and Onboarding roles, say "We make your remote work comfy: we provide support on equipment and offer flexible working hours." The careers page repeats it under "Work, Your Way": "Flexible working hours and equipment support so your remote setup works as well as you do." None of the adverts gives core hours, a required overlap or a weekly hours figure. Time-off wording varies by advert: the Commercial, Senior Product Manager and Solution Engineer adverts offer "paid special leave days" and a Workcation option, while the Product adverts mention a "parental leave policy" and a "sabbatical programme". No number of vacation days is stated for the Germany and France roles. The Solution Engineer adverts note that the role carries a quota.
