About Hutch

Who We Are

We're Hutch Games, a mobile games developer and publisher with studios in central London, Dundee, and Canada. Our mission is to build the most diverse and engaged automotive gaming community on mobile. Our games have been played by over 300 million people worldwide, with exciting new titles currently in development.

We believe in putting our people first. At Hutch, you can create exceptional games without sacrificing quality time with family and friends. We strive to ensure our team members are happy, healthy, and able to bring their best selves to work every day.

Ensuring that Hutch is an amazing place to work is really important to us. We were incredibly proud to receive Best Place to Work awards from gamesindustry.biz in both 2020 and 2021, which recognized our progressive working practices, comprehensive benefits package, and commitment to our team's wellbeing.

Our Games

We're the team behind some of the most popular mobile racing games:

  • Rebel Racing - High-octane street racing action
  • F1 Clash - Official Formula 1 management game
  • Top Drives - Card-collecting racing strategy
  • Racekings - Competitive multiplayer racing
  • Race Off - Side-scrolling racing mayhem
  • MMX Racing - Monster truck racing
  • Bandits Racing - Arcade racing adventure
  • Smash Cops - Action-packed police pursuit
  • And many more titles loved by players globally

Our Recruitment Process

We try to make the hiring process at Hutch as lean and respectful of your time as possible, whilst still allowing you to meet the people you'll be working with. We're really conscious that in normal circumstances you would visit the studio, have a coffee and a chat, so we do our best to replicate these moments whether meeting remotely or in person.

Once we've received your application, if we think you'd potentially be a good fit for the role, the next steps in the process will typically be:

Initial Call - A conversation with someone from our recruitment team. We'll tell you more about Hutch and the specific role, and learn more about your skills and experience. This is also a great opportunity to discuss our working practices, benefits, and answer any questions you might have.

First Interview - A call with the hiring manager, who will usually be your prospective manager. This is a great chance to get to know them better and understand their leadership style. This interview will be a deeper dive into your background, experience, and how you'd approach the role.

Second Interview - This usually involves 2-3 people and is the most in-depth interview. The format varies by role—if you're a programmer, it might include technical questions or coding discussions; if you're an artist, you might be discussing your Unity knowledge and walking through your portfolio in detail.

Final Interview - This is a more informal conversation with a few people in the studio. It gives you the chance to chat with other team members or people you'd be working closely with, ask questions about day-to-day life at Hutch, and get a real feel for our culture.
