Work-Life Balance
Holmes Miller officially switched to a permanent 9-day fortnight in January 2024. From the Premier Construction News article (Jan 25, 2024) quoting Managing Director Callum Houston: "Our main aim with this change was to create an inclusive, welcoming, balanced work environment that maintains the wellbeing and job satisfaction of our high-calibre team."
The arrangement is a 72-hour working fortnight (a small reduction in contracted hours) with no pay reduction. Staff also benefit from flexible starting and finishing times around core working hours.
