About GWI
What is GWI?
GWI (formerly GlobalWebIndex) is an audience research and consumer insights company. Its website says "GWI is human intelligence. Since 2009, we've asked real people what they think, feel, buy, and do, and helped brands, agencies, and media companies make better decisions with it." The about page records that "GWI was founded in CEO Tom Smith's house" in 2009 and that the company "Raised $180m in Series B funding" in 2022. Its job adverts describe GWI as "the human data layer that fuels decision-making and AI agents across the enterprise", and its roles cover revenue, product, technology, marketing, research and insight, and people and culture. The live Greenhouse board lists 23 postings: 14 live vacancies and 9 talent-pool or future-opportunity adverts.
Where will I work?
GWI says "We have teams in London, New York, Prague, Athens and Singapore", with a London HQ at 25 Farringdon Street and a New York HQ at 45 W 25th St. Live vacancies are in London (the largest group), Athens and New York. Roles are hybrid, and each of the 14 live vacancies states a weekly office requirement: "Minimum 2 days per week" for most London roles (one fixed-term London role says "Hybrid, 1 day a week"), "Hybrid, 1 day/week" for most Athens roles (the Athens security engineering advert adds "or fully remote"), "2 days per week, Mondays & Wednesdays" for the Senior Product Manager roles, and "3 days per week" for the New York sales development role. The benefits lists also mention remote options, a work from home budget and work-from-anywhere freedom, and the talent-pool adverts add "Work from Anywhere in the world - up to 15 days".
What is the GWI team like?
The about page lists the "Words we live by" as "Think big", "Ask why" and "Show respect", and the careers page describes "Respectful collaborative teams", a "Genuine commitment to DEI" and an "open, autonomous culture. The kind where you can take initiative, run with your ideas, and work in a way that fits your life." Adverts describe GWI as "a disruptor shaping the global market research industry" and promise "A culture that trusts you." GWI is a Disability Confident employer and offers reasonable adjustments in hiring. On the process, the careers page says "We keep our hiring process simple, transparent, and respectful of your time", starting with a preliminary phone screen with the talent team followed by a first interview, usually on Google Meet, with the hiring manager.
Work-Life Balance
The careers page lists "Flexible working hours" and "Trust-based management style" under "Workplace and you", and says "Flexible days, a thriving culture, and real work-life balance are simply how we do things here." Eight live adverts, across the revenue, people and culture, product, and research and insight teams in London, Athens and New York, list a similar benefit; the London wording is "Flexitime, early Friday finishes, hybrid and remote options", plus a work from home budget. Nine talent-pool and future-opportunity adverts give more detail: "Flexitime Early finishes on Fridays (4:30pm weekly, and 1pm during summer)". The Friday times appear only in that talent-pool wording; the newer live-vacancy adverts say just "early Friday finishes". One Athens advert states "Working Hours : 09.30 AM - 17.30 PM Athens time". Annual leave is stated as "25 days' annual leave, plus office closures over the holidays" for London and Athens roles and "23 days' annual leave, paid sick days, and office closures over the holidays" for the New York role.
