About Goodlord
What is Goodlord?
Goodlord is a UK proptech company on a mission to be "the gold standard platform for renting." Founded in 2014 by Richard White, Philip Mundy, and Tom Mundy, the company set out to make renting "simple and transparent for everyone involved: the agent, the landlord, and the tenant." Its platform spans the entire lettings journey — tenant referencing, tenancy agreements, rent protection, payments, compliance, insurance, and utility setup — removing paperwork and speeding up transactions for letting agents. Today around 3,000 letting agency brands (3.5K+ customers) across the UK rely on Goodlord, and the team describes itself as "an AI-first company" where every department ships AI-powered tools through its "AI Everywhere" programme.
Where will I work?
Goodlord runs three UK offices — London, Sheffield, and Lincoln. The London HQ ("The Hickman, 2-4 Whitechapel Rd, E1 1EW," nearest Aldgate East) hosts tech, sales, marketing, product, people, finance, ops, and account management; Sheffield is the hub for Referencing and SME Sales; and Lincoln is home to the Insurance team. Most roles follow a hybrid pattern described in job ads as "2 days a week in the office, the other 3 days remote (or office if you prefer)," and arrangements flex by team.
What is the Goodlord team like?
The 320-strong team — "Goodlordians" — is built on five values: "we stand up and deliver," "we set the pace," "we're an open book," "we bring our whole selves to work," and "we listen, learn, and improve." Expect an "agile, flat way of working" with "no politics, no red tape," a fast (and "sometimes intense") pace, and a high bar for transparency. Job ads describe the team as "an energetic, sociable, and talented bunch who are super passionate about what we do."
Work-Life Balance
Goodlord is Great Place to Work-Certified (updated November 2025, with 86% of employees saying it's a great place to work) and was named one of the UK's Top 10 Most Inclusive Companies at the Flexa Awards 2026. The hybrid model keeps most people in-office two days a week. On holiday, the company is explicit: "we encourage (some may say expect!) all Goodlordians to take full advantage of their annual leave entitlement" — 25 days plus bank holidays, rising to 32 with service, plus up to 2 volunteering days a year.
