About Gainsight
What is Gainsight?
Gainsight is the AI-powered retention engine behind the world's most customer-centric companies. Its CustomerOS platform orchestrates the entire customer journey — from onboarding to outcomes to advocacy — through a growing suite of products spanning customer success, product experience, community, education, and AI-powered relationship intelligence. More than 2,000 companies trust Gainsight's applications and AI agents to drive learning, adoption, community connection, and success for their own customers. Founded in 2009 and headquartered in San Francisco, Gainsight has grown into a global team of 1,200+ "Gainsters" united by a single mission: to be living proof that you can win in business while being Human-First.
Where will I work?
Gainsight is a globally distributed company with team members across the U.S., Europe, Canada, India, Israel, and Japan, and its headquarters at 350 Bay Street in San Francisco. The company embraces a hybrid, remote-friendly model: many roles are fully remote within their region (for example, "a remote role based in The United States"), and teammates everywhere get access to coworking spaces around the globe when they want an in-person space to work from. Occasional travel for team meetings, training, or company events keeps distributed teams connected.
What is the Gainsight team like?
Culture is the heart of Gainsight's identity. The company is guided by five core values — Golden Rule (treat people the way you'd want to be treated), Stay Thirsty (strive for greatness), Childlike Joy (bring your inner child to work), Success for All, and Shoshin (start with a beginner's mind) — all rooted in its "Human-First" philosophy that "the work you and the real you are the same." That ethos shows up in active employee resource groups (Ellevate, Mind Matters, Spectrum, BIPOC, Parents @ Gainsight, and Greensight). The result: Gainsight earned the #1 overall spot on Glassdoor's Best Places to Work list for 2023, with 98% of employees saying it's a great place to work.
Work-Life Balance
Gainsight builds in real space to recharge. On top of a flexible PTO policy, every quarter the company gives the whole team a dedicated "Recharge Holiday" — one long weekend to relax and reset — so rest is built into the calendar rather than left to chance. The remote-friendly setup and emphasis on showing up as yourself reflect a culture designed to keep people connected to the work they do.
Perks and Benefits
Gainsight offers a comprehensive benefits package: fully covered medical premiums (employee-only), dental and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, and flexible PTO. Standout perks include a $10,000 lifetime fertility stipend, access to coworking spaces worldwide, and quarterly Recharge Holidays. Compensation includes participation in Gainsight's equity program plus performance-based commission or bonus eligibility, and the company invests in mentoring and career-development opportunities to help teammates learn, grow, and thrive.
