About Everyday Speech

What is Everyday Speech?

Everyday Speech's About page says "It all started with one SLP": in 2012 a certified Speech-Language Pathologist found it "surprisingly hard to find effective materials to teach social skills", and she and her husband "decided to do something about it". The company is now "a comprehensive social skills curriculum with thousands of video lessons and interactive materials". Its posting describes "a no-prep digital curriculum designed to accelerate the acquisition and generalization of social, behavioral, and communication skills for PK-12 learners", combining "evidence-based video modeling, interactive web games, and digital and printable worksheets", and says it is "trusted by 55,000 educators across 5,000 districts". Its stated mission is to "Equip 100 million students with the skills necessary to build resilience, form meaningful connections, and confidently navigate an ever-changing world."

The posting calls it "a fully bootstrapped company growing organically and sustainably", and its privacy policy names the operator as "Everyday Speech, LLC, a Texas limited liability company".

Where will I work?

Its careers page invites people to "Collaborate with a global remote team building edtech to help students feel more connected and confident." Its posting adds: "We’ve also never had an office and never will. We take remote work seriously and know how to support a distributed team." Its one open role on 2026-10-12, an Inside Sales Representative on the Marketing team, is listed as Remote (United States). The careers page lists benefits "For US employees" and separate reimbursements "For international contractors".

What is the Everyday Speech team like?

Its careers page lists seven values: "We start with empathy", "We ruthlessly prioritize", "We create momentum", "We are fearlessly objective", "We exercise agency", "We are driven to grow" and "We make teaching vital social-communication skills simple". Its posting says "our eNPS score from 2025 was 78", and that it wants people with "high standards and accountability" who are free to work "in a way that’s best for you". The role it advertises works across "Marketing, Sales, RevOps, and Customer Success".

Work-Life Balance

Its careers page lists "Every other Friday off (3-day weekends!) after you’ve been with us for 90 days", "Flexible PTO plan and a sick policy that focuses on your wellness and healing", and a "Generous Parental Leave Policy". Its posting puts it this way: "between having every other Friday off (3-day weekends!) and our flexible PTO plan, that elusive work-life balance is an actual thing here." Neither page says how weekly hours change on the alternate Fridays, and the every-other-Friday benefit starts after 90 days.
