What is Entersekt?
Entersekt calls itself "The Financial Authentication Company". Its adverts describe it as "a leader in digital banking fraud prevention and payment security, including mobile authentication, mobile app security, and 3D Secure authentication for issuers, acquirers and payment networks." The company's own page says "Founded in 2008, Entersekt started by solving a specific authentication problem for financial institutions", and lists "900+ Banks served across 70+ countries" and 120+ patents. It says "Investment from Accel-KKR and Pape Fund Managers helped accelerate the next phase of growth, while the acquisition of Modirum 3-D Secure expanded Entersekt’s capabilities in digital payments." The same page says the business "began in Stellenbosch, South Africa" and is "now co-headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia".
Where will I work?
All three live adverts on 6 November 2026 are listed as "Fully Remote, South Africa": a Senior Software Engineer for the 3DS Payments team, a Systems Integration Engineer in Technical Delivery, and a VP and GM for the Product Platform. A March 2026 blog post says "We are a global, remote-first business, and our physical space needs to reflect that reality" and "Day-to-day work continues to happen remotely". Entersekt moved its South Africa head office within Stellenbosch from Techno Park to Trumali Place, a space built for in-person collaboration rather than rows of permanent desks. The careers page also lists offices in Atlanta, Tallinn, Munich, Oslo, London and Ebene in Mauritius.
What is the Entersekt team like?
The careers page names five values: "Better than yesterday", "Take ownership", "Foster inclusion", "Communicate with purpose" and "Customer-focused excellence". It says "Weekly check-in meetings and quarterly growth discussions are how we ensure we all work together to achieve one goal", and that people learn through "Entersekt University, sharing knowledge internally, and giving our people access to coaching and mentoring". Colleagues "work across regions, teams, and time zones". The blog post adds that savings from the new office are used to enrol employees in "12-month learnership programs" that lead to nationally recognized qualifications. The adverts add "We place a lot of value on how we treat prospective employees" and "we aim to keep the hiring process as quick and seamless as possible"; the individual steps are not described.
Work-Life Balance
All three live adverts, in three departments, carry the same line: "an awesome working environment that includes flexible hours, remote work, and plenty of growth opportunities." The careers page backs it at company level: "Our hybrid and remote work models give people flexibility to work in ways that fit their lives. We also maintain core hours, with room to shape the rest of the day around personal circumstances." The core-hours window is not published, so the exact start and finish times are for you to confirm. The blog post says the office is "a place they come to with purpose" and that physical connection should be "an enabler rather than an obligation". The South Africa adverts also state a preference for candidates from historically disadvantaged groups under local Employment Equity objectives.
