About Easol
What is Easol?
Easol calls itself "the leading all-in-one 'experience commerce' platform built to power experience businesses including festivals, wellness retreats, food and drink, sports and adventure trips." Creators use it to sell "directly on your own website with smart booking, payment, and marketing tools that all work together", and the aim is to let them "drive more direct sales, retain more revenue, own their data and run their business on their terms." The company "has deep roots in experiences": it was founded in 2017 by Lisa and Ben Simpson, a husband-and-wife team who had co-created Rise, "Europe's biggest Snowsports and music festival", and Beyond Adventures, a series of trips to remote places such as the Sahara desert and the Swedish archipelago. Beyond Sahara was the first experience ever sold on Easol. Y Combinator backed it in 2018, it closed a $4.5m seed round in 2020 (the year it took the Easol name) and a $25M Series A led by Tiger Global in 2022.
Where will I work?
Easol's headquarters is in London, at "Easol House", which has a gym, a bar and a cabin called Kanata, named after the party hut at the top of the mountain at Rise. It also has offices in Lisbon and New York. Its open roles in September 2026 are hybrid in New York: two sales roles covering music and entertainment creators, and a Forward Deployed Engineer "based in our NYC office" who travels to creators' offices and venues around the world, sometimes for extended stays.
What is the Easol team like?
Easol's values are "Creator-First", "Team Spirit", "Keep It Real" and "Play, Push, Pause". Staff stay close to the creators they serve "through WhatsApp groups, dinners, building websites together side by side, and going on their experiences", and everyone is encouraged to attend creators' events. There is a weekly company meeting to "discuss our wins, learning opportunities, our goals and direction". Team life includes bi-weekly Friday demos, monthly all-team lunches and Friday breakfasts at the Easol Houses, hackathons, charity events, a Slack channel for shout-outs, another for owning mistakes, and a December trip to Rise in Les Deux Alpes to celebrate the year.
Work-Life Balance
Easol's US roles come with "33 days of holidays, inclusive of public holidays". Its "Play, Push, Pause" value asks the team to push hard when needed, then rest: self-care helps "to remind us to take rest and recover in order to thrive. We prioritise this and we make sure others on the team do too." Staff have access to a company-funded "deep week", with a travel budget to go somewhere and focus on one ambitious project without distraction, and staff can "fit work around your travel every now and then" to spend time with family far away.
