About Donorbox
What is Donorbox?
Donorbox is fundraising software for nonprofits. Its postings call it "a leading fundraising platform and donor management system for nonprofit organizations", and say "Our mission is to accelerate positive impact worldwide by helping nonprofits become highly effective at raising funds and managing their supporter base". Its About page opens "Since 2014, we've been on a simple mission: to do everything in our power to support nonprofit organizations in their efforts to make a difference", and counts $4B+ in donations raised, 200,000+ organizations and 96+ countries served. The roles are in customer success, support, content, accounting and engineering for a SaaS product sold to charities, churches, schools and other nonprofits.
Where will I work?
Donorbox is remote. Its postings say "We have a fully distributed and diverse 150-person team based in 16+ states and 23+ countries", and each lists "Fully remote work from the comfort of your home". The US roles read "Fully remote based in United States" and the Customer Success Manager role "Fully remote based in US, Canada, or Mexico". Its site footer gives a business address in Alexandria, Virginia; the postings describe a fully distributed team with no office. Its Greenhouse board also lists roles based in South Africa and Latin America, with their own pay bands; this listing shows the North American roles, which the time-off package below is stated for.
What is the Donorbox team like?
The team works to seven values on its About page: customer-centric, integrity and respect, positive empowerment, clear communication, results-driven ("We execute with urgency and speed while focusing on the results and quality of our work"), ownership and initiative, and neutrality ("We uphold the ethos of free and apolitical speech"). The company says "Our fast-growing company is profitable and bootstrapped with a healthy run rate", that "Donorbox was named by Built In as one of the Best Places to Work in Washington, DC" in 2026, and that it is "rated the #1 software for fundraising, donor management, and nonprofit payment on G2". Its leadership page lists a founder and CEO, a Chief Architect and a global customer and growth team, and its postings say a role such as the Senior Accountant reports to a fractional controller and oversees a contracted junior accountant.
Work-Life Balance
Every North American posting states the same time off: "Generous time off policy of 21 days (birthday included", then "8 designated/floating holidays, 2 paid volunteer days, and 5+ sick days (dependent on state)". That is 31 days off a year before sick days. The postings list no flexible-hours or four-day-week policy, and the "urgency and speed" value above is the company's own description of its pace, so ask about workload and on-call expectations in the interview.
Perks and Benefits
The postings list an "Employer-sponsored health insurance plan through TriNet, including medical (United Healthcare), dental, vision, and life", a "401(k) retirement plan via TriNet's partner, Empower, with an employer match of up to 4%", "Eligibility for employee equity plan (stock options)", a "Reimbursement package for home office expenses and professional development, up to $1.5k" and a "Wellness program with fitness and mindfulness classes". Every posting states its pay: "Salary: 120-135k USD" for the Senior Accountant, "Salary: 70-90k + 3-6% commission" for the Enterprise Customer Success Manager and "Salary: 60-70k USD annual salary" for the Support Trainer.
