About Distro
What is Distro?
Distro is an AI-powered global hiring platform run by Distro, LLC. "We believe recruiters deserve better tools," the company says, and its software takes over the administrative side of hiring: its AI reads every applicant's résumé, runs asynchronous video screening interviews, scores candidates on communication, technical skills and role fit, and hands the hiring company a ranked shortlist, while an AI recruiting assistant handles outreach and scheduling. Around the software, Distro sells managed recruiting by human recruiters, Employer of Record services ($500 per employee a month, in 90+ countries), Agent of Record services for contractors ($50 per contractor a month, in 100+ countries) and contractor payments. It says it supports hiring in 200+ countries and is SOC 2 Type I certified, and that it helps companies "primarily in the US" hire talent from anywhere in the world.
Distro's own press page lists its January 2026 acquisition by Vensure Employer Solutions ("Vensure Employer Solutions Acquires AI Recruiting Platform Distro"). The platform still runs under the Distro name at distro.io.
Important for job seekers: the roles Distro posts on its Lever board are usually hiring for someone else — Distro's client companies and Vensure group businesses. Current part-time postings include a legal assistant for a West Palm Beach litigation firm and a talent-acquisition coordinator for a senior-care franchise. The ad names the actual employer or describes it, and that employer sets the schedule, pay and benefits.
Where will I work?
Distro, LLC is based in the United States, and its terms are governed by Utah law. Where you work depends on the role. Of the 259 postings on Distro's Lever board in September 2026, 209 were on-site, 35 hybrid and 15 remote. The biggest locations were Chandler, Arizona; Nairobi; Duluth, Georgia; New York City; Westmount, Quebec; and Noida, India. The current part-time roles include an on-site legal assistant in West Palm Beach, an office-based talent-acquisition coordinator in Manila, and a fully remote Product UX Lead working from the Philippines.
What is the Distro team like?
Distro names four values: "Better, Always" (every process can be improved), "Clarity Wins" (direct, honest communication with customers, candidates and each other), "Speed with Purpose" ("speed without quality isn't speed — it's noise") and "Own It" (take responsibility and fix what goes wrong). It says its AI "screens based on skills and experience — not where you went to school or what your resume looks like", and its recruiting-services team combines "deep hiring experience with Distro's AI tools". The press page also lists Distro as UV50's #5 Startup to Watch in 2023.
Work-Life Balance
Hours are set by the hiring employer, and part-time roles vary widely. The remote Product UX Lead is "approximately 2–3 hours per day". The legal assistant role asks for "dependable coverage on Mondays and Fridays", though that firm will also consider a full-time candidate. If you are hired through Distro, you are "automatically enrolled in Distro's payroll system", paid through Payoneer, Wise, Stripe or direct deposit in your own currency. Distro says its roles are "long-term, well-paying opportunities" rather than gig work.
Perks and Benefits
Distro does not publish its own employee benefits package, and benefits on the roles it posts depend on the hiring employer. For candidates, it promises:
- Free sign-up — "no fees, ever"
- Matching to roles "without applying endlessly"
- Automated, on-time payroll in your currency (Payoneer, Wise, Stripe or direct deposit)
- Support from a dedicated account manager
- Long-term roles, not short gigs
- A pay range on 258 of its 259 current postings
