About Dave
What is Dave?
Dave is a financial app on a mission to build products that level the financial playing field. Founded in 2016 and now publicly traded (NASDAQ: DAVE), the Los Angeles-born neobank uses technology to create "an affordable, transparent, and user-centric access to liquidity for millions of Americans" who are underserved by traditional banks. Its flagship ExtraCash product gives members up to $500 within minutes, and Dave is expanding fast — its newest product, the Flex card, is a pay-in-4 card built for members living paycheck to paycheck who have never had fair access to credit, with a Buy Now Pay Later offering on the roadmap for 2026. Dave describes itself as "leading the charge in creating a new era of credit products that prioritizes speed, affordability, and accessibility."
Where will I work?
You'll work remotely. Dave is "a fully virtual company" — in its own words, you can "work from anywhere in the U.S. (except Hawaii, for now)." As a virtual-first employer, team members can live and work anywhere in the United States, and Dave commits to "same competitive pay, wherever you work," so your location doesn't change your compensation. The team comes together for "all-company in-person events once or twice a year," with virtual events throughout the year to stay connected to teammates and leadership.
What is the Dave team like?
Dave puts culture on a par with product: "At Dave, our people are just as important as our product." Five values guide the team — "Daves are member-centric, helpful, transparent, persistent, and better together" — and the company strives "to create an environment where all Daves feel valued, heard, and empowered to do their best work." Expect a fast-moving, high-ownership environment: roles emphasize "meaningful autonomy and visibility, along with clear accountability," small high-leverage teams, and the chance to "shape platform architecture at a profitable, growing public company."
Work-Life Balance
Dave pairs remote flexibility with time to recharge. The company offers "flexible hours and virtual-first work culture," "flexible PTO and generous company holidays, including Juneteenth and Winter Break," and "generous paid parental and caregiver leave." Its location-agnostic, work-from-anywhere-in-the-US model means employees can build a schedule and home base that fits their lives, while company-wide gatherings keep the distributed team connected.
Perks and Benefits
Dave backs its people with a comprehensive package: "premium Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance plans"; a "401(k) savings plan with matching contributions"; and "meaningful equity in a public company (NASDAQ: DAVE)." Remote employees receive "a home office stipend," and — fittingly for a fintech — Dave provides "financial advisor and financial wellness support." Add "generous paid parental and caregiver leave," "flexible PTO," and regular all-company in-person events, and you get a benefits set built around flexibility, financial security, and well-being.
