About Cycloid
What is Cycloid?
Cycloid is a Paris-based platform-engineering vendor founded in 2015 by Benjamin Brial, a former Red Hat Cloud executive. The company builds a unified Internal Developer Portal that helps engineering organisations adopt hybrid cloud and DevOps practices without losing developer experience or operational efficiency. Distinctively, Cycloid positions itself as the pioneer in "sustainable platform engineering" — the product embeds FinOps and GreenOps practices that give a holistic view of cloud consumption and carbon footprint across multi-cloud environments.
In February 2025, Cycloid raised a €5 million Series A led by Reflexion Capital with five French angel investors participating, bringing total funding to €8 million (following an initial €3 million round in 2020). The platform is used by major organisations including Alchemy and Amenetiz, and has received analyst attention from IDC.
Where will I work?
Cycloid is headquartered in Paris but the team is fully remote across Europe and North America. The team gets together once a year for a workshop at an amazing location in Europe. Every employee receives a €1200 home office setup budget and a €100 annual hobby stipend to make their day-to-day workspace work for them.
What is the Cycloid team like?
Founded by an ex-Red Hat Cloud executive, the team mixes DevOps, platform-engineering, FinOps, GreenOps, and cloud-automation expertise. The working culture is built on autonomy and collective decision-making: "We do not believe in classical management but rather in autonomy and initiative." Important decisions involve the whole team via chat or company-wide meetings. People set their own goals and targets — micro-management is explicitly rejected. The company is fully transparent on company figures and on salaries, and shares successes through a quarterly benefits program. Cycloid is a signatory of the French "Charte de la Diversité" and "Charte de la Diversité de la République".
Work-Life Balance
Cycloid runs a 4-day work week (pro-rata) at 32 hours per week. The fully-remote-across-Europe model and autonomy-first culture mean people structure their working day to suit their lives. The annual European team workshop is the main in-person ritual.
