About Cyberhaven

What is Cyberhaven?

Cyberhaven is a data-security company whose pitch is "AI changed work. We protect it." Its platform "traces the full lifecycle of your data, adapting protection to changing context," and its newest product, Cyberhaven Flow, is billed as "an AI-native data security platform for the agentic enterprise." Rather than relying on static file classification, Cyberhaven builds on data lineage — "AI-enabled data lineage that analyzes billions of workflows to understand data, detect risk, and stop threats" — and unifies Data Security Posture Management, Insider Risk Management and Data Loss Prevention "across endpoints, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS." The company argues the old model has broken down: "in the AI era, data has broken free," with "90%+ of alerts from legacy data security tools" being false positives and "80%+ of data exfiltration" involving "fragments and snippets, not complete files." Cyberhaven was founded in 2016 by five PhDs from EPFL who won the DARPA Cyber Grand Challenge, is backed by $250M from investors including Khosla and Redpoint, and says its team "includes leaders who built industry-defining technologies at CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Meta, Google, and more."

Where will I work?

Cyberhaven describes a hub-and-globe model: "our hubs anchor us. But our team spans the globe. No borders. Just tracers." Those hubs are Mountain View (headquarters), Denver, Austin, Bangalore, Romania and Switzerland. Live openings match that spread, covering the SF Bay Area, Boston, Chicago, Ohio, Mexico, Cluj in Romania and Bangalore, plus at least one fully remote engineering role. Where an in-office pattern is published it is stated per role — one commercial posting specifies "Austin, TX or Mountain View, CA — hybrid, 3 days in office" — so the working pattern is worth confirming for the specific job you apply to.

What is the Cyberhaven team like?

Employees call themselves tracers, and the company defines the tracer mindset as "curious, intentional, human." The invitation to candidates is to "take on ambitious challenges at the intersection of AI, security, and scale, as part of a team that believes the best outcomes are built together." Four values shape the culture: Act Boldly ("we set high standards, make confident decisions grounded in sound judgment, and pursue meaningful outcomes with conviction"), Innovate to Win ("take smart risks, learn quickly, and invest in what creates durable advantage without compromising trust or security"), Earn Trust Everyday ("we earn it through secure systems, reliable execution, and transparency in how work gets done") and Prioritize & Execute ("ownership means prioritizing what matters most, moving with urgency, collaborating early as one team"). Hiring runs application, recruiter screen, hiring-manager interview, two interview rounds, references, offer.

Work-Life Balance

Cyberhaven works a standard full-time week — no four-day week, 32-hour week or compressed schedule appears anywhere on its site or job board. Beyond the per-role hybrid and remote patterns above, Cyberhaven does not publish its time-off, leave or flexible-working policy, so we cannot describe it here. Ask the recruiter early.

Perks and Benefits

Cyberhaven does not publish a benefits list on its careers site or its job board. The only package detail it discloses publicly is a salary range — and, for sales roles, a commission target — on each posting, which is pay-range transparency rather than a stated perk. Ask your recruiter for the full benefits summary before you interview.
