About Civitta

What is Civitta?

Civitta is an international consulting and digital company. Its own site says it has "800+ professionals across 30+ countries" and that it started in Central and Eastern Europe and is "proud to be the largest consultancy emerging from our region". Its locations page lists two offices in Estonia, in Tallinn and in Tartu, under Civitta Eesti AS.

The work is organised in four service lines. Public advisory supports "governments and public organisations with policy development, economic growth, innovation, and large-scale transformation programmes". Consulting covers strategy and growth, market research, sustainability and ESG, and AI and data. Digital designs and builds "digital products, platforms, and experiences, including software development, UX/UI design, and digital marketing". Funding helps clients with "accessing and managing EU, international, and local funding programmes, including opportunity identification and application support".

Where will I work?

The careers page describes a team "spanning from Stockholm to Tashkent, encompassing Tallinn, Vilnius, Warsaw, Kyiv, Yerevan, and a dozen more capital cities". The live adverts we read were open in Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Ukraine, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Albania, Kyrgyzstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Belgium and the United States, and several generalist consulting roles are open at "All Civitta locations". Most adverts (47 of the 61 that mention flexible hours) offer "the option to work from home twice a week", 43 of them next to "our city-centre office", so the working pattern is hybrid. Three Estonian adverts are based in "Tallinn or Tartu".

What is the Civitta team like?

The careers page describes "a transparent and non-hierarchical culture" in which colleagues "treat one another as equals, regardless of seniority or position". It adds: "We work in unison on projects and initiatives, and we make it a point to meet each other several times throughout the year." Associate Partner adverts promise "Entrepreneurial Freedom – shape your own path, contribute ideas, and take the lead on initiatives that matter to you", and an annual offsite brings the whole company together. The roles on offer span consultants, managers and partners in advisory and funding, project managers, designers, data and AI engineers, and finance staff, and some adverts publish a salary range.

Work-Life Balance

The careers page says: "Our people like to work, but they like to live even more so." It promises "flexible work arrangements, from working hours to locations". In the adverts, flexible hours appear as a named benefit in 61 of the 79 live roles on 5 November 2026, across funding, strategy and growth, digital and data, EU and international public advisory, digitalisation, startup ecosystems, finance and sales support: "Flexible Working Hours – Manage your workday with flexibility and the option to work from home twice a week, while enjoying our city-centre office as a convenient, collaborative workspace". Some adverts, for example finance and implementation roles, offer the option "to work from home when needed" instead of the twice-a-week option. No core-hours window and no leave-day count is stated on the careers page or in the adverts, so confirm the details at interview. The visitor-centre roles Civitta recruits for (the Europa Experience centres) run on set shifts and do not carry the flexible-hours wording.
