What is Canva?
Canva is the visual-design platform "redefining how the world experiences design," building "a product that empowers the world to design." Headquartered in Sydney, Australia, Canva has grown into a global company whose drag-and-drop tools — presentations, social posts, videos, websites, logos and more — are used by hundreds of millions of people worldwide, no design background required. Engineering at Canva means "solving complex problems for millions of users, world wide," where the work is "about more than writing great code… rapidly iterating to deliver real value for users."
Where will I work?
Canva's flagship campus is in Sydney, with a second campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide, plus "global hubs across the US, Europe and Asia." Canva does not mandate a single arrangement: "you have choice in where and how you work, we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals." It formally offers three ways of working — Hybrid ("work from a Canva campus (office), or from home, or a combination of both"), Permanent Remote (for those whose "main residence and workplace is outside of a distance radius of one of our campuses"), and Onsite (for roles whose nature requires being on campus).
