About CacheFly
What is CacheFly?
CacheFly is one of the original content delivery networks — founded in 2002, it was the first CDN to serve content via TCP anycast, and two decades on it still wins throughput benchmarks the giants would rather not talk about. CacheFly specialises in performance-obsessed delivery for podcasts, video, gaming and software distribution: some of the world's biggest podcast networks push their episodes through its edge. It is a profitable, focused, veteran infrastructure company rather than a venture rocket — and it hires accordingly. Longevity is the differentiator: CacheFly predates most of its competitors by years, survived every CDN price war without venture subsidies, and keeps winning on raw throughput — the engineering culture is closer to a craft ISP than a hyperscaler, with small-team ownership of a genuinely global system.
Where will I work?
At home, in any of six countries: every live role is remote across the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany and Croatia, under an explicit "Remote-first culture" — supported by a "$3,000 work-from-home stipend" plus a monthly internet/phone or coworking allowance.
What is the CacheFly team like?
Small and senior — a few dozen people running a global network, where a Lead Operations Engineer genuinely owns infrastructure that moves enormous traffic. (Network operations naturally involves on-call incident coverage; that's the nature of a CDN, and it's stated openly in the relevant advert.) Glassdoor reads 4.1 overall, with "Good balance life/work" among the current-employee reviews. Podcasting is the marquee vertical — several of the medium's largest networks deliver every episode over CacheFly — and the non-US health plans are handled honestly: equivalent value goes into total compensation where US-style benefits don't apply.
