What is Bloomreach?
Bloomreach's About page calls it "The AI Company for Personalization" and traces the company back to 2009, when it was founded by Raj De Datta and Ashutosh Garg. Its website lists products including Loomi AI, email marketing, marketing automation, ecommerce search, web personalization and an enterprise CMS, and the About timeline calls it a "digital commerce experience platform". The timeline on the About page records the 2021 acquisition of Exponea and a $150 million investment from Sixth Street Growth, a $175 million round in 2022 led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and "$260 million in annual recurring revenue" by 2025. The page also says the company is "Driving innovation with the help of 900+ global employees" and serves "1,400+ Fast-Growing Brands and Enterprises".
Where will I work?
Bloomreach says "We work virtual-first with several Bloomreach Hubs available across three continents". The careers page adds that "Bloomreach believes that productive work can take place anywhere" and that its remote-first approach recruits talent in the US, EU and India, while people can choose whether an office suits them. The contact page lists locations including Mountain View, London, Amsterdam, Bratislava, Bangalore, Prague, Brno, Paris, Berlin, Milan, Barcelona, Dubai, Melbourne and Charlotte. Of the 68 live adverts, 19 are in Slovakia and 18 in Czechia, where adverts describe working in "one of our Central European offices (Bratislava, Brno, Prague) or remote". The rest are in the United Kingdom, the United States, India, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, France, Singapore, the UAE and Spain. Hiring is by region, so check which country a role is open to.
What is the Bloomreach team like?
The adverts describe "A great deal of freedom and trust" and say the company has "neither corporate rules nor long approval processes", adding that "This freedom goes hand in hand with responsibility. We are interested in results from day one." The company lists five values and ten key behaviours, and the careers page names them as Truth, Own, We, Think and No Drama. The Chief People Officer is quoted saying "We hire people, not numbers." Most live roles are senior: senior and staff engineers, solutions consultants, strategic account executives, security and compliance analysts, and finance and tax managers. Several engineering adverts, including DevOps, SRE and data roles, mention an on-call rotation, so ask what the rota looks like for the role. Many adverts are posted once per country for the same job.
Work-Life Balance
All 68 live adverts carry the same culture block: "We believe in flexible working hours to accommodate your working style." They also say "At Bloomreach we don’t clock in and out". No core-hours window and no required overlap is stated at company level, although individual roles can involve working with colleagues in other time zones, for example the Country Finance Lead, Netherlands advert mentions working "across time zones and with US-based colleagues". The adverts list "one additional day off each quarter" for company-wide DisConnect days, and the careers page says the company shuts down on those days. Every Bloomreacher "can take 5 paid days off to volunteer", subject to employment type. Base annual leave is not stated in the adverts.
