What is BibliU?
BibliU calls itself "an award-winning, technology-led B2B company transforming the $65bn educational content industry." It was "Founded in late 2015 as an Oxford University spin out": chief executive Dave Sherwood, a Rhodes Scholar, co-founded it while at Oxford, and it began with digital course materials, giving students affordable access to their textbooks from the first day of class. It now partners with more than 4,000 publishers, including Pearson, Oxford University Press and Wiley. In late 2023 BibliU acquired Texas Book Company, now BibliU Campus, and it runs college bookstores alongside its digital platform; the US accounts for 90% of the business. In June 2026 it announced $55 million in new funding from BlackRock, existing investor Stonehage Fleming and others, as it passed $100 million in annual revenue, and its postings cite partnerships with 170 universities serving 600,000 students each year.
Where will I work?
From home, in the UK or the US, if the role is in BibliU Digital. "As a remote-first company, the BibliU team works from around the world," its contact page says, and its postings describe "a distributed team across the UK and US, with offices in London." Of the six digital roles open in September 2026, five are remote, three in the US and two in the UK, and a management accountant in London is hybrid, with one day a week in the office. The UK headquarters is at the FOUNDRY co-working space in Walthamstow, London, and the US headquarters is in Greenville, Texas. BibliU Campus's bookstore and regional retail roles advertise a standard package without the digital division's holiday allowance, so they are not listed here.
What is the BibliU team like?
"Our culture is collaborative, high-growth, and agile," BibliU's postings say, with an executive team "with backgrounds from Instructure (Canvas) and other successful edtech companies with exit experience." Its chief revenue officer, for one, spent seven years at Canvas Instructure. BibliU lists seven values, from being "driven by results" to "We Achieve More With Less", under which it promises to prioritise "sustainable, profitable growth" while supporting "our people's well-being". The digital roles open now are in finance, procurement and engineering, and the company says it is "committed to building an inclusive and supportive workplace where everyone can do rewarding work."
Work-Life Balance
The holiday allowance is the headline, and BibliU knows it: "35 days holiday per year (excluding public holidays!) - yep, that's not a typo!" say its UK postings, and the US postings give the same 35 days "in addition to public holidays". On top of that come "Your birthday off" and "12 scheduled company wellness Fridays off per year", roughly one Friday a month. With the UK's eight bank holidays that is 56 days off a year; in the US it is 48 days before public holidays. Every digital posting also offers "Flexible working hours - we're a remote team spread across the US and UK", and BibliU says its benefits "are all aimed at supporting a healthy work-life balance and cultivating a company culture where you can bring your whole, human self to work."
