About BerlinRosen
What is BerlinRosen?
BerlinRosen is a leading progressive communications and public affairs firm headquartered in New York City. Founded by Valerie Berlin and Jonathan Rosen, the firm has grown to 300+ communications professionals across three offices (NY, LA, DC) and is now the flagship of Orchestra, a strategic communications and marketing company that has acquired nine firms since 2022 and brings together 700+ people.
BerlinRosen's clients span healthcare, urban planning, affordable housing, issue advocacy, social impact, progressive policy, public affairs, higher education, real estate, travel, lifestyle, arts and culture. The Cities & Public Affairs practice alone comprises 70+ communications professionals working with thought leaders and major advocacy groups including the New York Immigration Coalition, New York Housing Conference, Citizens Budget Commission, and Regional Plan Association.
Where will I work?
BerlinRosen has three offices:
- New York — 195 Broadway, Floor 26 (HQ)
- Los Angeles — 3268 Casitas Avenue
- Washington, D.C. — 750 17th St NW, Suite 700
Most teams operate on a hybrid schedule with 2–3 days in-office per week (the Cities team specifically runs 3 days/week in NYC). New-business inquiries and most strategic operations sit in the New York office.
What is the BerlinRosen team like?
BerlinRosen describes its team as communications experts, strategists, creatives, and beyond — all backgrounds, one purpose: do work that matters. The firm explicitly aims to "welcome, empower, and support staff of all backgrounds and identities" and emphasizes a culture of belonging where every voice and story is heard.
Team voices on the careers page describe the dynamic: "My colleagues genuinely root for each other and folks are always eager to help. A win for one is a win for all." (Kwame Belle, VP) and "BerlinRosen has expanded my experience tremendously, not just in social media, but also across business development, advertising, and public relations." (Timothy Chun, VP). Day-to-day work mixes "new challenges and the opportunity to rise to the occasion" with "team outings and meme-filled Slack chats."
