About Bellese
What is Bellese?
Its about page says "Since 2009, we've been working to make U.S. healthcare systems work better for the people who use them" and "For more than 15 years, Bellese has worked at the intersection of technology and public health, partnering with the organizations responsible for some of the largest healthcare systems in the country". "Since our founding in 2009, we have supported the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in maintaining and modernizing the critical systems that run Medicare, a program serving more than 66 million Americans." Its four focus areas are Human-Centered Design, Data Science, Product Management and Software Engineering, and its work includes QMARS, a federal case management system for the Medicare Quality Improvement Organization program, price-transparency tools for Medicare beneficiaries and the system that brings hospital quality metrics to Medicare.gov. It says "Since 2020, we've been consistently recognized by the Baltimore Sun as one of the best places to work in the region".
Where will I work?
Its careers page says "Bellese has been fully remote since 2020, with teammates spread across the contiguous U.S.", and "We're a fully remote, distributed team", with "4 TIME ZONES 30+ STATES 90+ CITIES". It lists "Work From Anywhere in the U.S." and says "What matters to us is the quality of your thinking and the impact of your work, not from where you log in." Its footer gives Bellese Technologies, LLC, 10451 Mill Run Circle, Suite 400, Owings Mills, MD 21117, but the careers page says "no headquarters, no hybrid mandates". Its board held four postings on 2026-10-14, all remote in the United States: a Growth Solution Architect, a Senior Engineer, Data, a Senior Engineer, DevOps and a Staff Engineer, DevSecOps. Each posting asks for "US Citizenship or Green Card only - we do not offer Sponsorship" and the ability "to hold a position of Public Trust", because of its federal contracting work.
What is the Bellese team like?
Its careers page says "Meaningful work starts with mutual respect" and "you'll find teammates who care about the mission and about each other". It describes an "Open Door Policy" ("We prioritize direct communication and leadership accessibility"), a "Lean & Agile" operating model and cross-functional teams in which engineering, product management and human-centered design "work as integrated partners". Its values are True Partnership, Human-Centered, Impact-Driven, Commitment to Quality and Insightful Innovation. Hiring is run by an in-house recruiting team that "stays with you from the first conversation through onboarding", with a behavioral-style interview, a skills challenge for some roles and time with the people you would work with.
Work-Life Balance
Its careers page says "You'll start accruing four weeks of PTO, with the potential to earn up to six as you grow with us, plus 10 paid floating holidays. We want you to take your time off and enjoy it." Its postings say "Four weeks paid time off yearly (prorated based on start date for the first year)", "10 paid floating company holidays" and "Flexible schedule": 20 days of PTO + 10 paid floating holidays = 30 days off a year at the start. It also lists "Flexible Hours" ("We trust you to communicate when you need to flex your day") and an Employee Assistance Program with "licensed counseling, coaching, and wellness resources" available around the clock. Bellese does not publish a shorter working week.
