What is Battelle?
Battelle Memorial Institute is the world's largest private, non-profit applied science and technology development company. Founded in 1929 and headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, Battelle conducts research and development for clients across national security, energy, environment, health and life sciences, and consumer/industrial sectors.
Battelle also manages or co-manages a number of U.S. Department of Energy national laboratories — including Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), Idaho National Laboratory (INL), Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL via UT-Battelle), Brookhaven National Laboratory, and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). The company employs scientists, engineers, technicians and operations staff across its labs and corporate sites.
Where will I work?
HQ in Columbus, Ohio (505 King Avenue), with major operational sites across the U.S. and internationally. Roles at Battelle proper are based in Columbus and other corporate offices; lab-managed positions live at the respective national lab campuses.

Verbatim from the post: "Yes, we have every other Friday off because many employees work a 9/80 schedule at Battelle—work 80 hours in nine days instead of 10, and every other Friday is an off day."
