What is Applus+?
Applus+ is one of the global leaders in the testing, inspection and certification (TIC) sector, headquartered in Madrid. The company helps clients across industries — from automotive and aerospace to oil & gas, renewable energy, and infrastructure — ensure their assets, products, and processes meet the highest quality, safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
Applus+ is now present in more than 65 countries and operates across four core divisions:
- Energy & Industry — 16,400+ experts in 60+ countries delivering inspection, testing, supervision, quality control, engineering, and technical consulting across renewables, infrastructure, power, and oil & gas.
- Automotive — vehicle inspection and emissions testing across 14 countries (Spain, Andorra, Denmark, Ireland, Sweden, Georgia, Saudi Arabia, India, Zanzibar, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Uruguay, Mexico).
- Laboratories — product development and compliance testing for aerospace, automotive, medical devices, energy, construction, and cybersecurity.
- IDIADA — sustainable mobility solutions through engineering, testing, and homologation; a 3,400-person team representing 55+ nationalities working on passive/active safety, CAV/ADAS, electronics, and powertrain.
In early 2026, Applus+ launched a fifth Environmental Services Division through the merger of APEM Group and the Applus+ Renewables Team, and acquired both Teron Labs (product cybersecurity) and Ambiente (Italian environmental consulting).
Where will I work?
Applus+ has its global headquarters at 1 Calle Campezo in Madrid, Spain, with operations in 65+ countries through hundreds of regional labs, vehicle inspection centres, and project sites. Most divisional roles are onsite or field-based at client facilities and Applus+ laboratories — given the inspection-and-testing nature of the work. Select corporate roles in finance, IT, HR, legal, sustainability, and communications offer hybrid options depending on location and function.
