What is Applause?
Applause (applausehq.com) builds performance and gamification software for home-services companies — the HVAC, plumbing, electrical and garage-door businesses whose technicians are also, inevitably, their sales force. Applause plugs into a company's field-service systems and turns technician performance into transparent scoreboards, competitions and incentive payouts, aligning what techs earn with what the business needs. More than 3,000 home-services businesses use it, making Applause one of the quiet leaders of Utah's Silicon Slopes vertical-SaaS scene. (Not to be confused with the Massachusetts crowdtesting company of the same name.) The product problem is a fun one: home-services technicians decide revenue with every visit, but most companies manage them with spreadsheets and shouting. Applause turns operational data into legible incentives — leaderboards, contests, transparent bonus math — which is why operators adopt it team-wide rather than as another dashboard nobody opens.
Where will I work?
Anywhere in the US: the benefits block opens with "100% remote w/ no office mandate" — the Lehi, Utah base is a heritage, not a requirement, and current openings span remote account executives and AI solutions engineers.
What is the Applause team like?
Around 80 people across go-to-market and technical teams, selling software to an industry that runs on referrals and reputation.
