About Alloy

What is Alloy?

Alloy helps solve the identity-risk problem for companies that offer financial products, enabling them to outpace fraud and confidently serve more people around the world. "Over 800 of the world's largest financial institutions and fintechs turn to Alloy to take control of fraud, credit, and compliance risk, and grow with the clearest picture of their customers." Through a single identity-decisioning platform, Alloy brings together hundreds of data sources so clients can make smarter onboarding, fraud and credit decisions across the customer lifecycle. Founded in 2015 and based in New York City, Alloy is led by co-founders Tommy Nicholas (CEO), Laura Spiekerman (President) and Charles Hearn (CTO), and is backed by investors including Bessemer, Lightspeed, Canapi, Felicis and Primary Venture Partners.

Where will I work?

Alloy is headquartered at 88 University Place in Union Square, Manhattan (New York, NY 10003), and also hires in London and select remote roles. The company runs a structured hybrid model: "employees are expected to work Tuesdays through Thursdays from our HQ in Union Square, Manhattan," while "on Monday/Friday most employees Zoom into work from home, while some take advantage of the quieter office." New hires receive a home-office stipend for their remote days.

What is the Alloy team like?

Alloy lives by four values — "Be Bold, Go Fast, Collaborate, and Celebrate Our Differences" — that shape a workplace "where you can grow, thrive, and belong." The team describes itself as diverse and deeply talented, embracing all genders, races, ethnicities and backgrounds. Engineers in particular join a lean team where "your impact will be felt immediately, and opportunities will grow as the company scales up."

Work-Life Balance

Alloy pairs an unlimited-PTO and flexible-work policy with a predictable hybrid rhythm, so employees get genuine flexibility without the ambiguity of a fully unstructured schedule. The fixed Tuesday–Thursday office cadence protects two reliable work-from-home days each week, and wellbeing is treated as a real benefit — employees get access to ClassPass for fitness, One Medical for healthcare, UrbanSitter for caregiving support and Spring Health for mental health, including therapy and coaching.

Perks and Benefits

Alloy offers a competitive total-rewards package: employee stock options (ISOs); medical, dental and vision plans with a monthly employer HSA contribution plus FSA options; and a 401(k) with a 100% match up to 4% of annual compensation. New parents receive 16 weeks of paid parental leave. Professional growth is supported through an annual Learning & Development stipend, and new employees receive a home-office stipend. Day-to-day perks include catered lunches and a steady calendar of employee-organized cultural events.
