About Accent Group
What is Accent Group?
Accent is a housing association: "Since 1966, we've worked to provide tens of thousands of affordable quality homes to families across the country." Its About page says "We have over 21,000 homes throughout England to over 40,000 people across the country, with homes in the East, South, North East and North West". It "was formed in 1966, when it provided homes in Yorkshire, the North East and the North West, and was called Bradford & North Housing Association", rebranded as Accent in 2004, and merged with Nene Housing in 2005 and Peerless Housing in 2006. Its stated vision is "to give as many people as possible access to safe, sustainable, affordable housing".
Where will I work?
The registered office is "3rd Floor, Scorex House, 1 Bolton Road, Bradford", and the contact page also lists offices in Peterborough ("West Point, Lynch Wood"), Stockton, Burnley and Camberley. The postings are hybrid: the Quantity Surveyor reads "Peterborough or Bradford, Hybrid, 2-3 days a week in the office", the Property Services Coordinator "Peterborough, Hybrid, office based 2-3 days a week", the Housing Partner "Hybrid with travel around your patch to meet customer needs (minimum 1 day a week in the office)", and the Service Charge Specialist "Hybrid, predominantly remote with travel to our schemes in the South (Camberley/Kent) and East (Peterborough/Cambridge)". Work-Life Balance
The benefits page says "Accent colleagues are entitled to 28 days of holiday, plus bank holidays, increasing by 1 day up each year up to 33 (pro rata for part time)", with "An extra day to celebrate your birthday". With England's eight public holidays that is 37 days at the start and 42 at the top.
