About You

You're an experienced electrician who's just as comfortable troubleshooting a lift station control panel as you are meeting with an engineering team over blueprints. You bring precision and calm problem-solving to complex electrical and instrumentation systems, and you take pride in keeping critical wastewater infrastructure running reliably. You communicate clearly across departments, document your work carefully, and adapt your expertise wherever it's needed — whether that's a reclaim distribution system or a request from Parks & Recreation. You're not afraid of hands-on work in changing field conditions, and you bring both technical depth and a collaborative mindset to everything you do.

At Team Gilbert, we hire innovative, forward-thinking problem-solvers who love what they do! In addition to possessing the ability to live out our core and functional values daily, candidates must possess the following requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of specialized or technical training beyond high school in electrical systems integration and system control wiring
  • 4 years of experience in electrical construction and general electrical service
  • 2 years of experience in electrical control wiring
  • 5 years Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License
  • ADEQ Grade I Water Distribution or Wastewater Collections Certification within 1 year of hire

This position requires a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.

This position has been designated as a Medium work position that spends a majority of their workday in a field and plant environment, with exposure to electrical currents, mechanical equipment, chemicals, and extreme temperatures.

The physical demands and working conditions information above is meant to provide a general idea of the conditions for this role. Gilbert is committed to being an inclusive employer of candidates with a wide range of abilities, and looks for opportunities to accommodate different abilities within reason.
