Senior Manager, 3PL & Fulfillment Operations

4 x 8hr days$90k - $115kRemote · Sonoma, USA

Our purpose?

Glad you ask. In a nutshell, we’re all about making the world of wine a better place. We fund and source directly from independent winemakers to bring customers better quality wine for a better price. No thirsty middlemen as far as the eye can see.

It’s a different way of doing things, sure. But it works. We’re currently the largest online direct-to-consumer winery in the USA, shipping over 1 million(!) packs a year to curious wine lovers. And with an ambitious road ahead, we’ve got no plans on plugging the cork on growth.

Our global team (we have offices in the UK and Australia, too) is entrepreneurial by nature, obsessive about customer experience and driven by performance. All things that make Naked a great place to grow both personally and professionally. And yes, we like wine. A lot.

Your purpose?

We're looking for a fulfillment network operator, not a warehouse manager. As Senior Manager, Fulfillment Network & 3PL Operations, you will own the performance of our outsourced warehousing network across multiple states. Rather than running a single site, you'll lead through our 3PL partners, ensuring they deliver against our service, cost, and customer experience expectations. This role sits at the center of our D2C operation. You'll translate data into action, hold partners accountable, and continuously improve how we move wine from warehouse to doorstep at scale.

This role is best suited for candidates who have managed 3PL partners, regional fulfillment networks, or outsourced logistics operations, rather than those primarily focuses on on-site warehouse leadership.

What You'll Own

You are responsible for supporting and continually improving performance across the following KPIs: Warehouse SLAs, Order Cycle Time (OCT), Courier OTIF and stock accuracy. Your team’s performance may also impact wider company KPIs, such as NPS.

  1. 3PL Network Performance (Core Focus)
  • Own performance across multiple 3PL warehouse partners (not on-site management)
  • Establish and manage KPIs and SLAs (OCT, OTIF, fulfillment accuracy, damages)
  • Run weekly/monthly business reviews with partners to drive accountability and improvement
  • Identify and resolve systemic performance issues across the network
  1. Fulfillment Operations (D2C Ecommerce)
  • Optimize order flow, cut-off times, and throughput across distributed warehouses
  • Partner with Planning and Commercial teams to support campaigns and volume spikes
  • Ensure consistent execution standards across all locations despite different operators
  1. Last-Mile & Customer Experience
  • Oversee carrier performance and delivery outcomes across regions
  • Use NPS, CS tickets, and delivery data to identify friction points in the customer journey
  • Drive improvements that directly impact customer satisfaction and retention
  1. Data-Driven Operations
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities
  • Translate insights into clear, actionable improvements with measurable impact
  • Build reporting that creates visibility across the fulfillment network
  1. Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Act as the bridge between Customer Service, Logistics, Finance, and Commercial teams
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve cost, speed, and reliability
  • Influence without direct authority—internally and across external partners
  • Support within your remit and responsibilities on special projects, initiatives or alternative duties assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience managing 3PL partners or outsourced logistics providers
  • Background in multi-site or distributed fulfillment networks
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce / D2C operations
  • Proven ability to manage through influence, not direct control
  • Comfortable owning vendor performance, SLAs, and contract outcomes
  • Highly data-driven with the ability to turn insights into action
  • Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced environments

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience scaling operations across multiple regions
  • Exposure to carrier management and last-mile optimization
  • Background in high-growth ecommerce or consumer businesses

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Skilled with Google Workspaces and/or MS office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Understanding of organisational goals, office procedures, policies and Employee Handbook
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the US.
  • Ability to analyse situations and implement solutions independently.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and establish and maintain effective work relationships while performing duties.
  • Ability to organise work to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to translate big data into tactical operational recommendations.
  • Expertise in continuous improvement.
  • Experience working with large 3PLs is essential.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to build effective relationships across global hubs.
  • Willingness to travel to warehousing locations across multiple states.
