How you keep our technology running
At AFAS ICT, we ensure that colleagues can work well and that customers can rely on AFAS Online. You work on the infrastructure behind it. You analyze what's needed, design smart solutions, and ensure that improvements are actually implemented. You do this together with colleagues, but with plenty of room for your own technical judgment. Do you see that something can be structurally better, safer, or more efficient? Then you get the trust to make decisions and realize solutions.
You work on, among other things:
- Designing, managing, and optimizing networks, servers, and infrastructures.
- Improving the stability and scalability of our SaaS environment AFAS Online.
- Supporting System Administrators with technical questions that require deeper expertise.
- Automating management and processes with, for example, PowerShell and DSC.
- Identifying and implementing improvements in performance, manageability, and efficiency.
You also participate in on-call services and active daytime services. This keeps you close to practice and you know exactly what's happening in the field.
How you make an impact with your work
A good System Engineer sometimes only stands out when things go wrong. We prefer it earlier. You ensure that systems remain stable, risks become smaller, and colleagues can work faster. Because you also work on AFAS Online, your impact is greater than just internally. Customers notice when our environment is fast, reliable, and scalable. You contribute directly to that!
