THE ROLE AND THE TEAM
As a Senior Employment Specialist (all genders), you will work with our People Operations team to create an outstanding employee experience. You are the reliable point of contact for all administrative matters of our employees, work independently and in a well-structured way, and actively contribute to internal team projects.
The position is available from 15.11. as a fixed-term parental leave cover until 31.07.2027.
WHY THE ROLE IS EXCITING FOR YOU...
- You look after a fixed group of employees in all personnel administration topics
- You are the first point of contact for employees, social insurance providers and authorities on payroll tax and social insurance questions
- You maintain personnel master and movement data in our new HR system and ensure high data quality
- You have a close interface with our other colleagues in the People Operations team, such as Payroll, International Employment or Talent Acquisition
- You create and edit employment, change and termination contracts as well as dismissals, etc.
- You create certificates and attestations
- You are part of exciting and varied projects for the continuous development of the HR area and act as a coach within the team
WE WOULD LOVE TO GET TO KNOW YOU IF...
- You have a completed commercial apprenticeship or a successfully completed business studies degree with a focus on HR or similar
- You bring initial professional experience in HR administration
- You have good knowledge of employment, tax and social security law
- You are a team player, independent, structured and work with great diligence
- You speak fluent German and possibly also English, both written and spoken

Our European logistics network is growing: the 130,000 square metre, state-of-the-art logistics centre is operated by Zalando and is designed for up to 1,700 employees. From this site, customers in Germany and neighbouring markets will receive their parcels from summer 2026 onwards.
Our employees in logistics ensure that more than 50 million Zalando customers in more than 25 European markets receive their orders reliably every day. Zalando today has a Europe-wide logistics network with twelve sites in seven countries. In Germany alone, around 6,000 employees from over 100 nations work at five Zalando logistics sites.
