Job Description

The Senior Buyer's primary responsibility is to provide support in the acquisition of goods and services to the different business units, ensuring the correct execution of Experian's global procurement policy.

Purpose of the role

The role focuses on ensuring the correct management of procurement processes, including supplier search, offer management, contract negotiation, preparation of contractual documents, maintenance of quality standards, reduction of supply chain risks, and generation of purchase orders.

Additionally, they will be responsible for indirect (non-core) purchases for two legal entities of the company, covering both Opex and Capex.

The analyst must ensure compliance with procurement policy and actively contribute to the generation of savings, efficiencies, and TVO projects that drive productivity.

Types of processes

RFP

Receipt of user requirement and scope analysis. Supplier search (invitation to participate and NDA signature). Support in RFP construction. Request for technical and economic proposals. Presentation of offers. Evaluation of bidders and support in decision-making. Feedback to participants. Negotiation (rates, validity, payment terms, billing, legal and compliance clauses, deliverables, and added value). Contracting (preparation and signature of contracts, policy management, vendor creation, and issuance of purchase order).

Contract Renewal

Notification to user about upcoming expirations. Scope review. Request for technical and economic proposal. Presentation of offer. Evaluation and adjustments. Negotiation of conditions. Contract formalization (document signature, policy management, and issuance of purchase order).

Role Responsibilities

Identify and execute efficiency opportunities that impact business productivity. Ensure correct documentation for the generation of purchase orders and exception management. Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and take corrective actions. Develop category strategies aligned with the market and business needs. Manage and resolve commercial incidents with users and suppliers.

Role Requirements

Communication and negotiation skills are required, high analytical capacity, management indicators handling, and experience in procurement best practices.

Qualifications

  • Professional in Logistics, Business Administration, International Business, or Industrial Engineering
  • Intermediate-high English
  • Office proficiency
  • Oracle
  • Tableau
  • Desirable but not required: IronClad (contract management tool)

Education

  • Professional degree in Logistics, Business Administration, International Business, or Industrial Engineering.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in procurement in indirect categories. Experience working with different business areas. Knowledge of RFx processes at national and international level. Experience leading procurement projects and in contract negotiation.

Technical Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Oracle, CLM tools, and Tableau.

Languages

  • Intermediate-high English.
