THE OPPORTUNITY
CONTEXT: You will be part of the InfoSec team with the mission to build, maintain and continuously improve the security of our application, thus providing assurance of protection and security to our customers. Our team is operational, with a strong problem-solving spirit, capable of thinking holistically about implementation and delivering solutions to meet our customers' long-term challenges.
ROLE: As Senior Manager AppSec, you will dedicate a major part of your role to leading, strategizing and managing the application security program, while remaining the technical pillar and support for the operational team. Your mission will be to rethink, structure and lead our AppSec program on a global scale.
We are looking for a strategic and technical Senior Manager AppSec to orchestrate the security of our SaaS application as well as Ivalua's internet-facing ecosystem. This hybrid role requires strong collaboration with R&D (Solution Owners, Framework Architects, Dev Leads) to integrate security from the genesis of each new product.
You will be responsible for prioritizing tasks in the face of bandwidth challenges, managing complex customer escalations and automating detection processes by leveraging cutting-edge technologies.
WHAT YOU WILL DO WITH US
- Define the strategic roadmap, design application security frameworks and ensure their seamless integration into R&D processes for all new product development
- Support the operational team on a daily basis, arbitrate and prioritize critical tasks, and ensure the maintenance of strong technical depth on complex subjects
- Work hand in hand with R&D Leaders, Solution Owners and Dev Leads to conduct security architecture reviews and streamline the software development lifecycle
- Drive automation of security testing within CI/CD pipelines by integrating intelligent agents and optimizing AI usage for detection and remediation
- Coordinate and manage external and internal penetration testing campaigns, analyze results and oversee remediation plans
- Be the preferred point of contact for critical customer escalations on complex subjects; be able to analyze requests, quickly identify key points and simplify security technical concepts for stakeholders
YOUR PROFILE
If you have solid experience in application security, natural leadership and a strategic vision of DevSecOps, this role is for you.
Skills and Experience:
- At least 10 years of confirmed experience in Application Security
- At least 5 years of experience as a direct manager, with proven team management experience
- Solid technical background in application security with excellent knowledge of vulnerabilities and experience collaborating directly with development teams
- Mastery of the Microsoft stack and perfect knowledge of CI/CD environments
- Experience in automating security tools and strong interest/comfort with AI technologies to optimize defense processes
- One or more recognized certifications in offensive security are highly appreciated
Desired Qualities:
- Ability to position yourself in support of an operational team, to delegate, to prioritize effectively and to maintain methodological rigor despite time constraints
- Proven ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to simplify highly complex concepts, to immediately identify architectural friction points and to propose sustainable holistic solutions
