How you learn the sales trade
From day one, you're involved in the commercial process. You ensure that valuable meetings with potential customers come about. How do you do that? You largely decide that yourself.
That means, among other things, that you:
- Schedule meetings with potential customers via phone, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, or conversations at events.
- Ask the right questions and listen carefully to what's really going on.
- Think along about how we can make meetings smarter and better.
You learn how organizations make decisions, when something is an opportunity and when it isn't. This way you quickly become better and more confident in your conversations.
How you grow step by step as a sales manager
We split the Sales Traineeship into two phases. This way you develop yourself step by step toward the role of sales manager.
Phase 1 – Getting to know & doing
- Your focus is on scheduling meetings with prospects.
- You learn AFAS, our software, and our customers.
- You work on lead generation and building your network.
- You follow trainings to develop your commercial skills, such as conversation techniques and questioning methods.
Phase 2 – Deepening & applying
- You shadow experienced sales colleagues.
- You develop soft skills, such as negotiation and conversation techniques.
- You learn how to give a strong demo.
- You apply everything directly in real conversations.
After the traineeship, you're ready for the next step: scoring your first deal as a sales manager. And yes, we celebrate that moment.
