How you turn opportunities into successful trajectories

You are the one who recognizes, creates, and nurtures opportunities. You connect with potential customers, ask the right questions, and give sales trajectories a flying start. How do you do that? You'll have plenty of freedom in your approach.

This means, among other things, that you:

  • Schedule meetings with potential customers through conversations, events, or other channels.
  • Uncover what's really going on in an organization and translate that into a strong next step.
  • Actively contribute to commercial strategy, lead generation, and seizing opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing colleagues and partners to ensure successful trajectories.
  • Build your network effectively and use various channels to generate new leads.

How you continue to develop as a sales manager

You bring at least 1.5 years of experience with you. That's why you'll start at AFAS with a shortened traineeship. This way, you'll quickly get to know our organization, software, and customers, and grow into an independent role as a sales manager.

Phase 1 – Getting to know & doing

  • You learn about AFAS, our software, and our customers.
  • Your focus is on scheduling meetings with prospects.
  • You work on lead generation and network building.
  • You take training to sharpen and improve your conversations.

Phase 2 – Deepening & applying

  • You develop your soft skills, such as negotiation and conversation techniques.
  • You shadow experienced sales colleagues.
  • You learn how to deliver a strong demo.
  • You apply everything directly in real conversations.

After the traineeship, you'll independently take on sales trajectories and continue building your role as a sales manager.
