Job description
We are looking for a Principal Engineer to join our GenAI Platform team, leading the construction of enterprise-scale Generative Artificial Intelligence solutions.
This position will play a key role in defining technical standards, architecture, governance and operational excellence for solutions based on LLMs, working directly with product, engineering and business stakeholder teams to turn complex challenges into high-impact products.
If you combine deep experience in Machine Learning and Generative AI with a practical, results-oriented approach, this is an opportunity to influence the AI strategy of a global organisation.
- Lead the design and implementation of GenAI solutions in corporate and regulated environments.
- Define scalable architectures using LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, guardrails and model routing strategies.
- Establish evaluation, monitoring and governance standards for Generative AI applications.
- Work directly with product and business teams to turn needs into production-ready solutions.
- Develop frameworks, reusable components, templates and best practices that can be adopted by multiple teams.
- Conduct technical reviews, support architectural decisions and act as a technical reference for engineers and data scientists.
- Ensure alignment with Responsible AI requirements, information security, compliance and model risk management.
- Promote knowledge transfer and enablement of the teams responsible for sustaining the solutions.
Qualifications
- Mandatory - Advanced/fluent English for work in a global environment.
- Solid experience in Machine Learning Engineering and/or LLM Engineering in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- AI Agents
- Guardrails for GenAI
- Model Selection & Routing
- Offline and online model evaluation
- Regression testing for AI applications
- Human-in-the-loop validation
- Model monitoring and observability
- Experience with cloud environments, especially AWS and/or Databricks.
- Knowledge of model and dataset versioning, experiment tracking and MLOps.
- Ability to influence multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders without formal authority.

- Experience with MLflow and Unity Catalog.
- Knowledge of Databricks Model Serving.
- Experience with Kubernetes, EKS or distributed environments.
- Experience in highly regulated sectors.
