Welcome to our team

The Site Engineering (SE) department is part of CoE Capital Investment (CI) and supports the Dutch Animal Health sites in realizing investment projects. The department provides project management and project engineering support for a wide range of technical projects within Manufacturing, Research & Development, and Animal Research & Development. Every year, Site Engineering manages a project portfolio divided into approximately 200 projects. Within this dynamic environment, you play a key role in planning, monitoring, and optimizing available engineering capacity so that projects can be executed successfully and on time.

About the role

As a Planner Site Engineering, you are responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing project and resource schedules within the Site Engineering department. You ensure up-to-date insight into available capacity, employee utilization, and the progress of both ongoing and future projects.

You are the central point of contact for resource planning within the department and support project managers in developing and maintaining project schedules. Through your insight into capacity, priorities, and project dependencies, you are able to identify bottlenecks early and realize appropriate solutions together with stakeholders.

In addition, you provide important management information for decision-making regarding project priorities, team staffing, and the Long Range Capital Plan. You combine strong analytical skills with excellent communication skills and know how to translate complex planning issues into concrete actions.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Responsible for keeping the resource planning for all Site Engineering projects up to date and providing insight into the available capacity within the department.
  • Supporting project managers in creating, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Analyzing capacity issues, project dependencies, and resource conflicts and developing appropriate solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Reporting weekly on resource planning, utilization, and project status to management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Identifying, monitoring, and reporting KPIs in the areas of planning, capacity, and project progress.
  • Acting as a knowledge expert within Site Engineering for planning methodologies, resource planning, and planning tools such as Microsoft Project.
  • Participating in periodic meetings with SPOCs, Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts, and other stakeholders regarding ongoing and future projects.
  • Identifying improvements within planning processes and contributing to the further professionalization of project and resource planning within the department.

What we ask of you

  • Completed Bachelor's degree (hbo) in a relevant technical, logistics, or business administration field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Planner within a project-driven organization, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biotech, food, or process industry.
  • Demonstrable experience with resource planning, capacity management, and project planning.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Lean methodologies; Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make complex planning issues transparent.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at different levels.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language, both oral and written.
  • You are proactive, result-oriented, decisive, and possess strong organizational skills.
