Job Description
We are looking for a Mid-Level Data Engineer to join our Data team and work on challenges related to the payment methods strategy. If you enjoy working with data, have an interest in modern technologies, and want to grow in a collaborative and innovative environment, this role may be for you.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data ingestion and data availability pipelines in Databricks, following the team's best practices.
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of existing pipelines.
- Contribute to data projects in different areas of the company.
- Work in partnership with the Engineering, Product and Analytics teams to support data quality and availability.
- Participate in identifying problems and proposing solutions, with autonomy appropriate to the level of the position and support from the team when needed.
- Help ensure that solutions are reliable, efficient, and meet the agreed service levels.
Requirements:
- Experience with CI/CD applied to data pipelines.
- Knowledge of data modeling for lakes, warehouses and Datamesh.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale data environments.
- Experience in financial services or with payment methods, financial reconciliation, file exchange, and data structuring in this context.
Qualifications
- Experience with PySpark, Python and SQL.
- Knowledge of Databricks and Spark.
- Experience with at least one cloud provider, such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of cloud services focused on data.
- Experience in Data Engineering.
- Familiarity with data orchestration tools, especially Databricks Workflows.
- Familiarity with best practices for versioning and documentation.
- Knowledge of Data Quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
