As a Maintenance Technician you support the maintenance team in keeping our conveyor systems running smoothly at all times. With your comprehensive understanding of warehouse automation systems, you work together with your management team to make the technical processes of our facilities even more efficient and to secure Zalando's technology leadership.

You are responsible for preventive maintenance work on our warehouse automation and carry out orders from senior colleagues in accordance with all relevant rules and guidelines.

WE'D LOVE TO GET TO KNOW YOU IF

You have a successfully completed vocational training in mechatronics, electrical engineering, automation technology or a comparable technical vocational training.

You bring experience in maintaining and troubleshooting plant technology and/or have knowledge of industrial plant control / process control and control technology.

You have a strong interest in familiarising yourself with new systems, as well as a solution-oriented way of thinking and acting to ensure smooth logistics processes.

You are willing to work in a three-shift system.

LOCATION: Gießen
Our European logistics network is growing: we are currently in the preparation phase for the opening of our new site in Gießen (Hesse), which is only one hour from Frankfurt am Main. The 130,000 square metre, state-of-the-art logistics centre will be operated by Zalando and is designed for up to 1,700 employees. From this site, customers in Germany and neighbouring markets will receive their parcels starting in summer 2026.
Our employees in logistics ensure that more than 50 million Zalando customers in more than 25 European markets receive their orders reliably every day. Zalando today has a Europe-wide logistics network with twelve sites in seven countries. In Germany alone, around 6,000 employees from over 100 nations work at five Zalando logistics sites.
