micro1 is engaging Legal Specialists to contribute their domain expertise to a high-impact customer project focused on advancing AI capabilities. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. This engagement centers on sharing original, expert-authored legal documents — such as memos, case analyses, contracts, and policy papers — to support the development of nuanced, responsible AI agents. Materials must be rich in technical detail, well-structured, and include multimodal elements like tables, figures, or charts, illustrating genuine human insight and legal acumen.

Scope of Work

  1. Provide high-quality, professionally structured legal documents authored in your field, including PDFs or Word documents with textual analysis, tables, charts, or diagrams.
  2. Ensure all shared materials are original and not sourced from the internet or generated synthetically.
  3. Demonstrate deep legal analysis, issue spotting, and technical depth through your submissions.
  4. Contribute a mix of document types and lengths, ideally ranging from 10 to 100 pages, reflecting real-world legal work.
  5. Maintain strict confidentiality and awareness of privilege in all materials and communications.
  6. Participate in feedback cycles as needed to clarify content or enhance document utility for AI model training.
  7. Communicate effectively with written and verbal updates, providing context or explanation where required.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Practising lawyer, legal researcher, compliance consultant, or legal professional with hands-on experience in document drafting and legal analysis.
  2. Demonstrated expertise in producing high-quality legal documents, such as memos, case briefs, contracts, or policy analyses.
  3. Strong legal writing, with proven ability to articulate complex legal concepts accurately and clearly.
  4. Experience incorporating tables, diagrams, or other modalities into legal documents.
  5. Keen awareness of confidentiality obligations, privilege, and data privacy in legal practice and document sharing.
  6. Proficiency in both written and verbal communication for project-related correspondence.
  7. Background in compliance, policy, or specific legal domains (e.g., intellectual property, regulatory, corporate) is an asset.
