Job Description
DataLab is the research and innovation unit of the Experian group in Latin America, working alongside Serasa Experian in Brazil. Our goal is to be proactive, anticipating the future, and consultative, identifying opportunities for market evolution through Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques combined with the use of new data sources.
We create advanced, innovative solutions that help clients and the market prepare today for a tomorrow of more assertive decisions. In addition to having a 360º view to exchange with the best in the global sphere, we consider the whole and produce solutions capable of achieving great scalability.
We are looking for an analytical and experienced mind to lead the evolution of our data infrastructure. You will be the key player in building scalable architectures, ensuring that our data is not just stored, but transformed into a competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Lake Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain modern Data Lake and Lakehouse architectures, ensuring scalability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
- Data Pipeline (ETL/ELT): Build and optimize real-time (streaming) and batch data ingestion flows, ensuring information integrity and low latency.
- Governance and Quality: Establish Data Quality standards, data lineage, and security/privacy policies (LGPD) across the entire ecosystem.
- Technical Mentorship: Act as a reference for the team, disseminating development best practices (Clean Code, CI/CD) and assisting in solving complex problems.
- Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in large-volume data processing and propose structural improvements to gain performance in queries and jobs.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience working directly in Data Engineering, with a track record in high-complexity and large-scale environments in cloud environments (preferably AWS).
- Tool Proficiency: Advanced experience with Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala) and workflow orchestrators (such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster).
- Programming Languages: Fluency in Python or Scala, as well as proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Data Modeling: Knowledge of dimensional modeling techniques.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Knowledge of Terraform or similar tools for provisioning data resources.
- Agile Mindset: Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps culture applied to data (DataOps).
