Job Description
DataLab is the research and innovation unit of the Experian group in Latin America, together with Serasa Experian in Brazil. Our objective is to be proactive, anticipating the future, and consultative, identifying opportunities for evolution in the market, through Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques combined with the use of new data sources.
We create innovative advanced solutions that help clients and the market prepare today for tomorrow's more assertive decisions. In addition, we have a 360° perspective to exchange with the best globally, considering the whole and producing solutions capable of achieving great scalability.
We are looking for an analytical and experienced mind to lead the evolution of our data infrastructure. You will be the key piece in building scalable architectures, ensuring that our data is not only stored, but transformed into a competitive advantage.
Main Responsibilities
- Data Lake Architecture: Design, implement and maintain modern Data Lake and Lakehouse architectures, ensuring scalability, resilience and cost-effectiveness.
- Data Pipeline (ETL/ELT): Build and optimize real-time (streaming) and batch data ingestion flows, ensuring information integrity and low latency.
- Governance and Quality: Establish Data Quality standards, data lineage and security/privacy policies (LGPD) across the entire ecosystem.
- Technical Mentorship: Act as a reference for the team, disseminating best development practices (Clean Code, CI/CD) and assisting in resolving complex problems.
- Performance Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in large data volume processing and propose structural improvements for performance gains in queries and jobs.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience working directly in Data Engineering, with a track record in high complexity and large-scale environments in cloud environments (preferably AWS).
- Tool Proficiency: Advanced experience with Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala) and workflow orchestrators (such as Airflow, Prefect or Dagster).
- Programming Languages: Fluency in Python or Scala, plus proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Data Modeling: Knowledge of dimensional modeling techniques.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Knowledge of Terraform or similar tools for data resource provisioning.
- Agile Mindset: Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps culture applied to data (DataOps).
