We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Data & Analytics team, developing predictive models and advanced analyses in the payments ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Machine Learning models (classification, regression, time series)
- Build and optimize Feature Engineering pipelines using PySpark and Databricks Notebooks
- Create exploratory analyses and analytical dashboards in Databricks SQL and AI/BI Dashboards
- Collaborate with data engineering teams in defining tables and metrics in Unity Catalog
- Perform A/B testing and statistical validation of business hypotheses
- Document and version models using MLflow
Technical Requirements
- Advanced Python (pandas, scikit-learn, XGBoost/LightGBM, statsmodels)
- Advanced SQL (CTEs, window functions, query optimization)
- Apache Spark / PySpark — large-scale data manipulation
- Databricks — Notebooks, Jobs (Lakeflow), Unity Catalog, Delta Lake
- AWS Cloud — S3, IAM, infrastructure basics
- Version control with Git
- Experience with time series and/or propensity models
Differentiators
- Experience with MLflow for tracking and model registry
- Knowledge of Spark Declarative Pipelines (ETL/ELT)
- Familiarity with financial data (transactions, invoices, PIX, fraud prevention)
- Experience with Delta Lake (time travel, Z-ordering, liquid clustering)
- Knowledge of NLP or Computer Vision techniques
- Databricks Certification (Data Engineer/ML Associate)
