Job description
As part of a strategic Data transformation programme, our client wants to evolve its current model, historically organised in silos, where each team prepares, transforms and uses data independently.
This organisation currently creates several challenges: inconsistencies and duplicates in the data, long processing times, a proliferation of transformations, and difficulty producing consistent and reliable reporting across the Sales, Finance and other company functions.
The ambition is to build a Data Hub bringing together the company's main reference data in order to:
- produce and make data reliable only once;
- expose it in a standardised and governed way;
- facilitate the creation of fast, consistent and scalable dashboards;
- improve operational efficiency and support the company's growth.
In this context, we are looking for a Data Expert / Functional Architect able to provide a cross-functional vision and orchestrate this transformation.
Your missions
- Analyse the existing setup and identify applications, processes, flows and data sources.
- Define and challenge the target functional/technical architecture of the Data Hub.
- Structure and standardise reference data to ensure its quality, consistency and reusability.
- Provide expertise on complex Data issues and propose innovative and pragmatic solutions.
- Support the convergence of practices across the Sales, Finance and Corporate teams.
- Define the principles of governance, quality and ownership of data.
- Ensure the consistency of functional and technical choices and support teams in implementing the target.
- Act as a cross-functional reference for business, Data and IT teams.
Qualifications
- At least 15 years of experience in consulting and/or IT/Data transformation environments.
- Strong functional and technical expertise in complex environments.
- Proven expertise in Dataiku and in data transformation, preparation and usage challenges.
- Experience in functional/technical architecture, Data Hub, Data Governance or data repositories.
- Ability to analyse complex issues and propose innovative and pragmatic solutions.
- Excellent understanding of business challenges and ability to bridge Business, Data and IT.
- Cross-functional leadership, with the ability to challenge, unite and support transformation.
