The Role
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Service Team Member to join our team at the on-campus Co-op store at the University of Surrey.
This is a permanent position working 32 hours per week. Our store is open 7 days a week, from 8:00am to 11:00pm, supporting students, staff and visitors throughout the day and evening.
As a Service Team Member, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming shopping experience for our customers. You'll be part of a supportive team, helping to keep the store well-stocked, tidy and running smoothly.
What You'll Be Doing
•Providing friendly, helpful and efficient customer service
•Assisting customers and answering queries
•Replenishing stock and maintaining product displays
•Supporting the receipt and processing of deliveries
•Operating tills and handling transactions accurately
•Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the store
•Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the store operates effectively
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
•Has a positive attitude and enjoys working with people
•Is reliable, flexible and willing to learn
•Enjoys working as part of a team
•Can work in a fast-paced environment
•Is able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
Previous retail experience is not essential as full training will be provided.
