Job title: CSA Rare Hematology Mastocytosis - Lazio, Abruzzo and Sardinia

  • Territory: Lazio, Abruzzo and Sardinia

Position information

Sanofi is an innovative, global healthcare company driven by a purpose: to chase the limits of science to improve people's lives.

The Rare Diseases Franchise represents one of the most strategic and distinctive areas of Sanofi, where our commitment to patients with unmet therapeutic needs translates into advanced scientific research, therapeutic innovation and a widespread presence across the territory. Within this area, the Rare Hematology unit focuses on Mastocytosis, a rare and complex condition characterized by high clinical heterogeneity and a diagnostic and therapeutic pathway that remains challenging for the medical community.

In this context, the Rare Hematology unit is looking for a Clinical Science Associate to join its team, an ambitious, agile team focused on making a concrete impact for patients. This is a unique opportunity to actively contribute to scientific education, to building solid scientific relationships with reference specialist centers, and to improving the clinical management of a condition that is still little known.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure high-level scientific information and communication on the products and the condition in your remit, directed at reference specialists (hematologists, allergologists, immunologists, onco-hematologists and other healthcare professionals involved in managing Mastocytosis), in full compliance with current regulations and the code of ethics.

  • Build and maintain solid, lasting relationships with the main experts and specialist centers in the territory, promoting an authentic scientific partnership aimed at improving patient management.

  • Actively contribute to disease awareness, supporting the medical community in understanding and recognizing the condition, with the goal of reducing diagnostic delays and improving therapeutic appropriateness.

  • Monitor local market dynamics, the course of the condition in your territory and the availability of medicines, identifying priority opportunities and areas for action.

  • Propose and contribute to the development of local scientific initiatives and projects, in collaboration with the main clinical stakeholders and relevant company functions (Marketing, Medical, Market Access).

  • Take part in the main congresses, conferences and seminars in the relevant therapeutic area, representing Sanofi with competence and professionalism.

  • Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with colleagues across the company, contributing to an integrated view of the territory and establishing yourself as a credible point of reference for internal and external stakeholders.

Candidate profile

  • Experience: Experience in scientific promotion of specialist pharmaceutical products in a hospital environment; knowledge of the hematology, onco-hematology or rare disease field is a preferred requirement.
  • Technical skills and "soft skills": Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build genuine relationships of trust with scientific stakeholders; results orientation and proactivity; agility in learning science and the ability to quickly keep up with complex and constantly evolving therapeutic contexts; strong aptitude for teamwork and cross-functional collaboration with the company's various functions; knowledge of market dynamics and hospital access mechanisms in the specialist field; familiarity with reading and interpreting clinical data and the clinical research context; data-driven approach to territory planning and management; good command of digital and IT tools.
  • Education: A degree in a scientific discipline such as Biology, Pharmacy, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies (CTF) or Medicine and Surgery is required.
  • Languages: Good knowledge of English (spoken and written).
  • Other: Residence in the relevant geographic area is required.
