  • Territory covered: Tuscany, Umbria and Marche

Information about the position

Sanofi is a global, innovative healthcare company, driven by one purpose: to challenge the limits of science to improve people's lives.

The Rare Diseases Franchise represents one of the most strategic and distinctive areas of Sanofi, where commitment to patients with unmet therapeutic needs translates into advanced scientific research, therapeutic innovation and widespread presence across the territory. Within this reality, the Rare Hematology area is focused on Mastocytosis, a rare and complex disease, characterised by high clinical heterogeneity and a diagnostic and therapeutic pathway that is still challenging for the medical community today.

In this context, the Rare Hematology line is looking for a Clinical Science Associate to join its team, within an ambitious, agile team oriented to concrete impact for patients. A unique opportunity to actively contribute to scientific training, to building solid scientific relationships with reference specialist centres and to improving the clinical management of a disease that is still little known.

Main responsibilities

  • Ensure high-level scientific information and communication about the products and the disease in your remit, addressed to reference specialists (haematologists, allergologists, immunologists, onco-haematologists and other healthcare professionals involved in managing Mastocytosis), in full compliance with current regulations and the code of ethics.

  • Build and maintain solid, lasting relationships with the main experts and specialist centres in the territory, promoting an authentic scientific partnership focused on improving patient management.

  • Actively contribute to disease awareness, supporting the medical community in knowing and recognising the disease, with the aim of reducing diagnostic delays and improving therapeutic appropriateness.

  • Monitor local market dynamics, the trend of the disease in the territory and medicine availability, identifying priority opportunities and areas for action.

  • Propose and contribute to the development of local scientific initiatives and projects, in collaboration with key clinical stakeholders and relevant company functions (Marketing, Medical, Market Access).

  • Take part in the main congresses, conferences and seminars in the relevant therapeutic area, representing Sanofi with expertise and professionalism.

  • Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with colleagues from different company functions, contributing to an integrated view of the territory and establishing yourself as a credible point of reference for internal and external stakeholders.

Candidate profile

  • Experience: Experience in scientific promotion of specialist pharmaceutical products in a hospital environment; knowledge of the haematology, onco-haematology or rare disease area is a preferred requirement.
  • Technical skills and "soft skills": Strong relational and communication skills, with an aptitude for building authentic relationships of trust with scientific stakeholders; results orientation and proactivity; agility in scientific learning and ability to quickly update in complex and constantly evolving therapeutic contexts; strong aptitude for teamwork and cross-functional collaboration with the various company functions; knowledge of market dynamics and hospital access mechanisms in the specialist field; familiarity with reading and interpreting clinical data and the clinical research context; data-driven approach to territory planning and management; good command of digital and IT tools.
  • Education: A degree in scientific disciplines such as Biology, Pharmacy, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies (CTF) or Medicine and Surgery is required.
  • Languages: Good knowledge of English (spoken and written).
  • Other: Residence in the relevant geographic area is required.
