This is how you help our clients move forward

No organization is the same. That is exactly what makes this role so varied. One day you think along about how an HR process can be set up more smartly. The next day you help a client reduce a complicated question to a practical solution.

Your tasks include, among other things:

  • Guiding clients with questions and challenges.
  • Analyzing and improving processes.
  • Translating wishes into solutions that work in practice.
  • Giving advice that organizations can truly move forward with.
  • Collaborating with colleagues from different disciplines.

You don't always have to have the answer right away. Often the greatest value lies in asking the right questions, understanding different interests and working together to reach the best solution.

Working in an industry that is changing rapidly

The accountancy industry is facing major changes. Digitalization, automation and AI mean that accountants spend less and less time on administrative work and add more and more value as advisors to entrepreneurs. As a consultant at AFAS, you help accounting firms make this development possible. You think along about processes, guide changes and help organizations further professionalize their services. That is why we are looking for people with an affinity for accountancy, tax or financial processes who get excited about the combination of technology, advice and organizational development.

This is how you grow in your role

We believe that good consultants are not born. They develop. That is why we look not only at what you can do today, but above all at your curiosity, eagerness to learn and motivation to keep developing yourself.

You start with a shortened traineeship in which you are guided by experienced colleagues. They introduce you to our software, our way of working and the consultancy profession. You get the space to learn, practice and take on more and more responsibility as soon as you are ready for it.

Phase 1

  • You get to know AFAS, our clients and our software.
  • You take on client questions, follow training and discover how to set up the software so that it fits the situation of a client.

Phase 2

  • You join consultancy projects and work together with experienced consultants.
  • More and more often you take the lead in conversations yourself, think along about solutions and guide clients through changes.
  • In this way you develop step by step into a consultant who truly helps clients move forward.

This is how you make an impact

At AFAS we believe that software only adds value when people can work with it comfortably. That is why you look beyond the technology alone.

You investigate how organizations work, bring people together, make processes transparent and help clients make choices that also work in the long term.

Through your guidance, organizations can work more efficiently, more calm arises in processes and clients get the most out of AFAS.

And perhaps the best part: you often see the results of your work directly in practice.
