Position Overview
In this role, you will support VRChat's partnership and business development activities in Japan. You will work closely with the head of the Japan team and internal teams to coordinate with partner companies, manage project progress, support contract-related processes, and drive various initiatives. This is a part-time contractor position for someone who enjoys both building and managing partner relationships and hands-on operational work. We are looking for an organized and proactive person who can communicate smoothly with internal and external stakeholders, manage tasks independently, and move projects forward in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities Support ongoing business initiatives in coordination with domestic and international partners, creators, and internal stakeholders
Communication, scheduling, and follow-up for partnership development and alliance management
Assist with drafting contracts, coordinating reviews, managing contract signing progress, and handling related administrative tasks
Manage schedules, meeting operations, action items, and workflows across multiple projects
Create meeting minutes, presentation materials, reports, and other business documents
Collaborate with global teams in English and support alignment across regions
Support event initiatives, promotional campaigns, collaborations, and partner programs in the Japanese market
Provide market research, competitive research, and general administrative support as needed
Required Experience and Skills 4 to 5 years of business work experience
Experience coordinating with partner companies, vendors, and external stakeholders
Experience supporting contract-related processes or business operations
Native-level Japanese and business-level English communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to take projects through to completion with accountability
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience and Skills Experience working at a startup or small, fast-paced team
Experience in entertainment, gaming, XR, creator economy, or IP-related industries
Experience collaborating with overseas teams or stakeholders from different cultures
Understanding of or interest in VRChat, virtual worlds, creator platforms, and UGC ecosystems
Work Style Part-time contractor position
Expected workload of approximately 30 to 40 hours per month
Availability for meetings during weekday daytime hours
May occasionally require in-person meetings in and around Tokyo as needed
