Job Summary

The Logistics Assoc. Specialist position is responsible for logistics management, with the ability to coordinate imports, distribution center administration, and inventory.

This position involves coordinating with various stakeholders to track shipments and documentation; managing the receipt, counting, and registration of goods; executing cyclical and monthly inventories and adjustments in SAP; performing incoming inspections and documenting non-conformities; and maintaining performance KPIs.

Presence at the distribution center is required 2 times per week (Ate).

You will be responsible for proposing operational improvements and participating in system optimization and integration projects (ERP/WMS), with guidance from senior leaders for professional development.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage import information; coordinate with plants, customs brokers, and logistics operators regarding required documentation (DUAs, certificates, freight, payments) to ensure timely releases and deliveries.

  • Monitor sea and air shipments with logistics operators, ensure compliance with timelines according to the demand schedule, and manage release processes with SENASA (includes reviewing labels, batches, expiration dates, and marketing certificates).

  • Responsible for physical receipts, reconciling counts with purchase orders and packing lists, recording entries/exits/transfers in the ERP/WMS, and proposing adjustments when discrepancies exist.

  • Responsible for inventory management, investigating the causes of differences (losses, recording errors, expirations), and coordinating corrective actions to maintain inventory accuracy.

  • Supervise the entry and conditioning of products in the warehouse (counts, cleaning, packaging condition), manage returns, rejections, and products in observation/quarantine, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

  • Report temperature excursions to the Cold Stream platform, evaluate data loggers, and prepare cyclical reports for SENASA and other authorities as applicable.

  • Prepare weekly reports for tracking operations and KPI compliance; lead warehouse audits (Hofarm) and support client audits, documenting findings and corrective actions.

  • Identify improvement opportunities and standardize processes within the warehouse, ensuring efficiencies and increasing productivity; manage the assigned budget and relationships with partners to optimize costs and improve service levels.

  • Responsible for the logistics budget (warehouse, customs clearance expenses, packaging materials).

Core skills

  • Knowledge of international trade
  • Complementary studies: Diploma in Foreign Trade, logistics, quality, etc.
  • Language: English (intermediate)
  • Proficiency in SAP and Excel

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Years of experience: Minimum 2 years (preferably in the pharmaceutical / animal health sector)
